I lost my volunteer job at the SPCA today

I was told by my boss I can't work with the public. He did say I did my best, but people were saying I gave them the wrong information about the cats I tried to adopt out.

I can come back when there's a job available where I don't have to have direct contact with the public, such as a back office job.

Right off the bat Mr. Nutty himself gives comfort.

1. Meow2u3, I am sorry to read this...

But I want to congratulate you for having such a good heart and channeling your energy toward working with animals.

And...don't be down on yourself. Sometimes, bosses have other motives for letting people go other than what is said. Who knows...maybe he has a relative in mind for the position or something.

As long as you try your best at something, you are successful.

I doubt the boss has other motives besides the truth.

2. Maybe I can try another shelter

where I can just work with the cats and dogs and not have to deal with people. I'm one of those who doesn't get humans.

Maybe you can try being a furry ?

3. Sure, it's tough to get fired from volunteer work. But so what. There

are other jobs out there. And the important thing is that you can work with the animals. They are the ones that need your help anyway. Not the people.

Uh David DUmmy, never mind.   :mental:

And rounding out the goofy list

4. My dear meow2u3...

I am so sorry...what a blow to your self-esteem. I've had people tell me stuff like that too, and it's hard to get past it.

Give yourself some time to mourn, and then look for something that fits you, really fits.

So Peg doesn't work well with people either ?  Wasn't she a nurse ?  Shocking.

Sometimes I wonder about Peggy the Poetess.  I think she has a few loose screws.

Ya'll want to see her picture tonight ?   :-)

1. how do you ****-up a volunteer gig?

2. how bad do you have to ****-up for them to use that excuse to can you?

3. how irredeemably stupid do you have to be to ****-up the adoption prospects for alley cats?

These people make me reconsider the value of eugenics.

WTH?  Most shelters would love to have someone shovel poop. That seems like the perfect job for the poo flinging primitives.

It was probably court-order community service - the cushy kind.  Now the Little Goon will have to don an orange vest and actually do something.

Seriously, he was giving wrong information to potential pet adopters, and he is blaming it on poor people-skills?

A spork alert was needed for the pic link.  I think CaliforniaPeggy used to be CaliforniaPaul.  That's a transsexual if I've ever seen one.

I think Cal Piggy is still reflecting on TLB's review of her abysmal poetry.
And she still looks like a cross between Lou Holtz and Harry Reid.

This attitude is why you people get nowhere in life.

That never occurred to me but I think that you're right. Remember that they never tell the whole story. Just enough to garner sympathy.

You can't work with the public?  Tells me there are some either anger or other mental issues possible here as well.

Yeah I'm sure the boss was just wanting to get a relative that cushy volunteer position.  :rotf:

What the heck kind of wrong information could one give?

It sounds like there is probably a file on each animal with specific details that this person was too lazy to go read.
Would just wing it and tell a person anything.

Yes, and most of all, it takes a special kind of stupid to screw up volunteer work....

Meow2u3 has that trait, along with a great majority of the DUmmies and anyone that voted for Lord Zero (piss be upon him)....

How does one get fired from a volunteer job?  :mental: I volunteer 2-3X a month at the city rescue mission serving food to the homeless. It's so easy a democrat could do it.

Meow2u3 is a guy?

geesh.

Was he volunteering there hoping to meet a girl?

hopefully he'll find a new hobby. collecting Star Wars figures or something.

Just please do not actually find a girl, we don't need more DUmmies.

One wonders if this firing could be related to the furry thread.

I've done volunteer work at the animal shelter.  There's something the goon is not telling us.  If one area isn't working out, like dealing with the public, they reassign you to something else, as there is always something to do.  Laundry, kennel cleaning, washing bowls, etc.  I think the goon stole something.

Well, thank you for the link to the picture thread.  The best looking ones in the bunch were the dogs, hands-down.  I see that the DUmp girls have continued to shun eyebrow tweezers, including the Chinless Wonder.  What's particularly sickening is how all the other DUmmies fall all over themselves, exclaiming how beautiful and sexy each other is.

Kinda falls under the heading that beauty is not only skin deep, don't it? That's some real ugly there!

I'm thinking she already did, and it has something to do with the real reason she's leaving.

She looks physcotic. I hope she doesn't have kids. There's a kind of crazed look in her eyes.

That struck me, too! There's a crazy behind those eyes that I wouldn't care to meet!
