It's a thorny subject, so it is probably just as well it was a female scientist who confirmed that men are better at parking than women.
Men were typically five per cent more competent at parallel parking - where the car draws alongside anther vehicle before reversing into a bay - according to research.
They were also better at driving head-on into a space and then reversing into place.
'You must remember that women also have bosoms which makes it very difficult to turn around.
'However, did we really need to know this? Should we now stop women from parking? Of course not.'

Blame it on the boobies. :)

I hate to parallel park...and it takes me forever.
The other half does it as easily as I pull in to a parking place.
Can't wait to tell him I can't parallel park because I have boobiez.... :naughty:

I love this. Yes, it is my boobs' fault that I can't parallel park well, they restrict my turning capabilities. :uhsure:

I always do.

They are usually the reason that guys mess up, too.

Huh?
You need to turn around to parallel park?
I thought that was what the mirrors were for.

Try that on a driving test and they'd flunk you for not looking over your shoulder. At least they did here a long time ago. Depth perception in the mirror is almost non existent.

Hmmm...
I can parallel park a semi-truck with a 57 foot trailer using only the mirrors.
I must have been doing it wrong.
ETA: It was part of the test when I got my CDL this year.

Perhaps some "coaching" would help? Maybe I could hold them out of the way for you?

I got my first driver's license in Illinois....if you didn't look over your shoulder before pulling away from the curb or changing lanes...they flunked you.
I wasn't asked to parallel park...which was a good thing. I took driver's ed in the winter...it's much easier to parallel park next to a 2 foot high pile of snow than a 4 inch high curb.....and my depth perception has always been awful.

LMAO!!! :rotf: Geez, too funny...

I was laughing so hard I forgot to post my thoughts on this... I can't parallel park very well, and now I know the reason why! ::)

Very nice! Congrats on the CDL.
I'm not quite as skilled, having only a Class B CDL, but I, too, can parallel park a 40-foot bus (or straight truck), using mirrors only (there really isn't much to see, other than the headrest of your seat, if you try to turn around and look backwards, particularly on a bus).
