I didn't buy any Christmas presents this year.
Gave what little money I normally spend on Christmas to the Food Bank. All my relatives were cool and understood - even the republicans.

I gotta ask, is this done for street cred ?  Because if in real life the DUmmies really gave what they claim to, no one would be hungry.  NO ONE !

3. I gave charitable donations in a family member's name
No other "presents" this year. The charities need money terribly. People don't need more "things". Buying too many "things" got a lot of folks into financial doo-doo -- myself included. I've learned my lesson.

4. We did something like that last year

A neice of my wife's aunt, a seven or eight year old needed a big growth taken off her neck but the wonderful insurance company wouldn't pay for it so we gave everything we had at the time to the family and then more family members pitched in afterwards and then she had the surgery

WOW. Damn mean insurance company !   :bs:

6. I will buy later and donate a little to the charity..
I will buy a Christmas present for me and for my family... Also I am planning to give some to the charity..^_^

Watch 90210 Episode

Don't get me wrong.  I think it's great.  I also think it's a lie.

 You're on a roll...

I didn't do any shopping.  My mom is in Montana, my father is in North Carolina, my sister is in Texas, and my brother is in Ohio and I'm working on Christmas Day, so I'm covered as far as gift-giving excuses go.  At least I'm not making up lies about charity (unless I count as a tax-deductible contribution).

We have no tree up ( bad cats ) no presents but we did do lights outside.  I have everything I could ever want, most of all a GREAT husband.

We donate because our hearts say so, not to get a pat on the back.

Merry Christmas Chris.  I think you are a fine young man.  Very witty and funny.  :-)

It's just me and the dog (the dog being athiest) so I bought myself a few warm things to wear from Cabelas, and had some needed work done on my truck. Made my mechanic happy.

Hmmm...with all the money I've already had to spend this season, I'm pretty sure nobody is going to give me any grief over cards, considering that's all I got.  I got myself the GPS and the critters got some toys and snacks.  Yeah, they were happy about it.

All our kids are grown, it's just me, the wife, 2 wiener dogs, the tree, and a warm fire....
The wife got a new dishwasher (kids bought it, I got to install it), I got a cordless mouse and a second-hand computer.  I'm not complaining about the computer, it's NICE.  Much faster than my old box, which was last upgraded in 2002.

3 of the 5 kids will be by later, along with a few friends.  We'll be chowing down on ham, meatballs, little smokies, a few cheeseballs, pumpkin pies and a cheesecake....

Nice, quiet Christmas, concluding with me reading from Luke....   :)

Rabbits eat 'taters?  Sheet far!
(Which is "redneck" for "I did not know that!"

Oh yes, they do. Before my dog killed my rabbit, I used to just peel potatoes right into her cage. She loved the peelings. Also loved the dry papery onion skins, though not the wet oniony parts. Corn husks/silk were another favorite. That bunny took care of about half the bulk of my garbage output.

In the everyday course of life, nothing, buying Christmas/birthday/Arbor Day presents for pets is womanly.

He get's that, too.  He's just like family, only shorter and fuzzier....

For the record, Jake's birthday is September 26th (Jake is my dog)....

He's AKC registered, that's how I know.... :-)

Would it help my CC cred if I said that my wife bought the gifts for Jake?   :devious:

I'd hazard a guess and say that Coach has bought gifts for his herd of cats.
