Title: Civil Rights Panel Subpoenas Justice Department in New Black Panthers Case
Post by: bijou on December 20, 2009, 01:42:56 PM
The United States Civil Rights Commission, an eight-member agency that investigates accusations of discrimination, has launched a new offensive against a most unusual target: the Justice Department.

The commission is investigating why the Justice Department dropped charges in May against three members of the New Black Panther Party for Self-Defense in a voter intimidation case that the government won.

The Justice Department has defended its actions, saying it obtained an injunction against one member while dismissing charges against the others "based on a careful assessment of the facts and the law."

But that explanation hasn't satisfied the commission or Republican lawmakers, who say the dismissal could lead to an escalation of voter intimidation. ...

I believe this is just the beginning of what is to come in the 2010 and 2012 elections.  When elections laws, such as  voters being  intimidated at the polls  are being justified by the DOJ.  Is this the tactic that will be used across the country by the liberal Democrats  to win.in 2010 and 2012? Ask yourself why they do not fear in losing with all of the  bills they are passing?  With Acorn, SEIU, and the Black Panthers  all being supported by this Administration and paid with taxpayer money,  what chance  does the  taxpayers and citizens of this country have in electing an honest government?

It makes you wonder how honest was the 2008 election.

Sully?  What part of NM?  Farmington is one of the few areas of the state which is still pretty conservative.  Also where I went to high school.

If the growing majority of We The People want to see DC and our states cleaned-up and cleaned-out in 2010 and 2012 - BUT the well known voting fraud and the out-of-control thuggery which appears to be overlooked and allowed, paints a gloomy picture.  Is there really any hope for CHANGE?  This is a disheartening perspective and perhaps an "unbeatable" reality.  Don't mean to be a downer here, but...

Sully,

I hear you.  I will continue on with the good fight...I will let my voice be heard.  I pray that the Townhalls will turn from 150 to 150,000 and just keep growing.
