We realize this will get us booted right off the Kerry Family Christmas card list, but we feel the need to ask: Who is the bride here?

Obviously, Sen. John Kerry’s daughter, Vanessa, is the one wearing white - but isn’t Teresa Heinz hogging up just a bit too much of the limelight here? And what’s with the red dress? Isn’t it kind of declasse to upstage the bride????

And can we discuss that shmata in T’s right hand for a mo? Is it a scarf? Is it a wrap? Or is it - gasp! - a train????

An example of what happens when trailer trash gets rich.

As the saying goes, you can take the boy out of the trash, but not the trash out of the boy (or girl).

I'd like to think that if I ever got rich I'd have the good sense not to wear a dress like that.

i'm sure women have all sorts of complicated rules and regulations for this kind of thing, but showing up the bride on her wedding day is pretty crass.

Ketchup red...::)

It's not like she invented and strove for the Heinz product line. She married the poor bastard and inherited his wealth when he kicked the bucket.

Teresa Heinz-Kerry strikes me as a person who has very few friends.

I have no proof of that, but I'm just putting that out there.

To be frank...

...I've put on a little weight in the hips recently.

That's obvious from the picture.

A friend would have told her not to wear that dress!

She was just trying to put a spotlight on herself and showing everyone who paid for the wedding

What a tacky woman! I still haven't forgotten when she stood up to speak at the convention, she barely mentioned Kerry. Who did she yammer about?  Her dead husband.

I was 20 the day of my first marriage, many many years ago.  Still in college, and mom was against it big time.  She wore a red dress as a protest.  That is an exact quote from her.  The sad bit was that I got married on 12/18, and everyone thought she was just being festive for the season.

I'm sure she has lots of friends; Jim, Jack, Johnnie...

Oh, and there's tons of proof there.

Let's take a look at the rest of the family.  First guy from the right looks like a terrorist.  The third person from the right, the woman, must also be Kerry's daughter, she looks JUST like him!  How unfortunate.  6 foot long face plus buck teeth gets you a nickname you'll never live down.
Teraaaayyyyyyza's dress looks frumpy and unflattering.  Yards of fabric will accentuate hips and a thick waist, and hide any curves you may want to feature.
