President Obama: Federal Government 'Will Go Bankrupt' if Health Care Costs are Not Reigned In
Dec. 16, 2009

And last point I'll make on this: If we don't pass it, here's the guarantee, that the people who are watching tonight, your premiums will go up, your employers are going to load up more costs on you. Potentially they're going to drop your coverage, because they just can't afford an increase of 25 percent, 30 percent in terms of the costs of providing health care to employees each and every year. And the federal government will go bankrupt, because Medicare and Medicaid are on a trajectory that are unsustainable, and this actually provides us the best chance of starting to bend the cost curve on the government expenditures in Medicare and Medicaid.
So anybody who says that they are concerned about the deficit, concerned about debt, concerned about loading up taxes on future generations, you have to be supportive of this health care bill, because if we don't do this, nobody argues with the fact that health care costs are going to consume the entire federal budget.

1. This bill doesn't reign in health care cost Updated at 12:11 AM
Obama does not seem to grasp how angry he is making his base.
Lying will only inflame the outrage.

12. Obama's version of Dick Cheney's mushroom cloud mantra
and equally false!
Holey Moses! Maybe that was just a bunch of CC moles who all happened to get together on the same thread by accident? :rotf:
I don't think so. There comes a time when even the most brain dead syncophant cannot swallow something so blatantly a lie and a scare tactic. When I heard the clip of this on the radio earlier today, I thought to myself, how can the DUmmies possibly swallow this one?
If we don't pass it, here's the guarantee, that the people who are watching tonight, your premiums will go up, your employers are going to load up more costs on you. This here proves why liberals should be exteriminated rather than allowed in the public discourse: They lack common sense and act as if businesses look forward to pricing themselves out of the market.
ANALOGY: Everyone NEEDS to eat, it isn't an option. Yet, bread manufacturers don't charge $100/loaf. Why?
Because nobody would buy it. Even if some did charge $100/loaf another manufacturer would only charge $1/loaf and as soon as they did that company would capture the lion's share of the market making far more money than the $100/loaf company.
Because of POOR PEOPLE the rest of us are saving $99/loaf.
LURKING LIBERALS: Tell me where I am wrong.
One reason insurance costs so much is the lack of competition in each state. Who do have to thank for that? The governments that regulate the companies.
Holy Joementum Croc, I saw your thread first thing this morning but the brown eyed girl wanted to take a walk.
Your final phrase left an image seared :naughty: into my mind's eye and there is not enough eye bleach to cleanse it. How much can a dummy swallow? I shudder to think.
BTW:
It was a crisp 9 degrees Fahrenheit this morning here on the NH coast. Bet it was colder inland an up country. The B-girl didn't mind wearing her sweater. (yes, she is a big wuss as beagles go ) Thank Algore an global climate change lest we all should freeze our to death.
One reason insurance costs so much is the lack of competition in each state. Who do have to thank for that? The governments that regulate the companies.Absolutely.
Absolutely.
In addition to that I submit insurance disguises trie market costs because the patient doesn't see a procedure as costing X but only premium Y and co-pay Z.
If we were smart we'd pay out of pocket for routine and non-catstrophic visits/procedures and--as you suggest--end government imposed in-state monopolies.

Obama bin Bullshitter is in big trouble when even the DUmmies are calling him on it.
Errr...11 months in and they're comparing him to Cheney...Ruh Roh is right!
So the question is, if Obama ends up being the worst of Jimmy Carter X10, what would Ronaldus Maximus X10 look like?
Caribou Barbie?
Oh, Obama knows how angry he's making you, he just doesn't care. Your going to vote for him again in 2012 no matter what. You are impotent rage. You are gesture without motion. And what's more, you know your place. None of this surprises you. You even know that in what you call "speaking truth to power" your voices are like the straw men from T.S. Elliot. Your collective voices have all the power of wind in dry grass.
Enjoy your Kool Aid :koolaid: Drink a double dose on your way to the polls in November 2012.
