I feel like we're due for an 'explosion' of sorts here (and outside of here)

GD is just..really sinking into chaos. BUT, I notice if i go to other political discussion boards; they are worse in tone than we are in a way. DU seems primed for an explosion of anger and upseted-ness very, very soon.
I get the feeling we are rushing at a wall here in America. It seems a general malaise of hopelessness at the moment; and huge amounts of frustration.
I'm torn between being fascinated by all aspects of 'the fall' and knowing I need to pull my attention away from it. It's like a blizzard of crazy coming undone all over the place.
My patience is short, and I know it really shouldn't be. I am,however, finding time every day to mentally make a list of what I am very grateful for.
On a side note, husband could still use some vibes for strength and patience - I don't think I've ever seen him this frustrated and spread so thin. We are on solid ground as a couple (none of the past few years' upheaval) though.

Thoughts? Other observations? Ideas? Insights?

They thought they had got everything they wanted November 2008, but they didn't count on those they elected wanting to keep their cushy jobs. Now the DUmmies are realizing that once again they were played for suckers by their elected representatives.

Your angst gives me great pleasure.

Not because I am cruel or hateful but because you are stupid beyond words and truly believed that you were going to be made wealthy and comfortable as an individual by the government.

You are nothing and always will be.

DU has been a "blizzard of crazy" since its inception.  Why should we expect any different now?

How's that Hope and Change workin' out for ya'?

Unemployment at 17%.
Federal deficit the largest it's ever been.
A President in constant campaign mode who grovels before foreign leaders.

Suck it up Bitches. YOU put him in office.

1. it coincides with my reading about this time...
off my saved reading from previously...

"reading for ages after: life post-Tower (late 2008) 10/13/08

Tripartite with solidifiers

1. King of Pentacles
a. 7 Cups
b. Materialism/Devil
c. (R) Mage

2. 6 Cups
a. Page Spades
b. (R) 9 Cups
c. 6 Spades"

the stage we just lived through (which was the next stage coming when i made this reading)...
1.
King of Pentacles is Obama.
7 of Cups is the wish card.
Materialism represents the dark forces working to undo our efforts.
Reversed Mage is the lack of or corruption of power.

we have great wishes of him, but pragmatic choices chain him down and leave him impotent or pulled into choices enveloped by evil corruption.

the next stage coming...
2.
6 of Cups is nostalgia, fond memories of times now past, possible return of friend or new like-minded ally.
Page of Spades is defensiveness, delay of plans, and possible relation to war.
Reversed 9 Cups is straight up 'wish will not be fulfilled at this time." lack of funds possible, feeling deprived definitely.
6 of Spades, long journey, crossing the rubicon, leaving a bad situation, allow it to phase out.

wish things were better like we remember them; our wish for what we wanted is not granted now, delay, defensiveness, frustration... allow the coming of the long journey, let the pain dry up desire to return back to the old ways that got us here, prepare for the long journey.

... we do not need to dwell on my reading of the stage after that. suffice it to say, we have enough on our plate to worry about. be bearers of light, people -- this also involves grieving for our lost ideals and wishes.

and Maitreya, buddha from the future, sat crossed-legged and looked onto the future end of the world with compassion...

4. I rolled I Ching for you.
Question: please give insight into lildreamer's suspicion that we're due for an explosion.

Result: Hex 1 (Chi'en, the Creative)/ Changing Line 2.

Nine in the second place means:
Dragon appearing in the field.
It furthers one to see the great man.

Here the effects of the light-giving power begin to manifest themselves. In terms of human affairs, this means that the great man makes his appearance in his chosen field of activity. As yet he has no commanding position but is still with his peers. However, what distinguishes him from the others is his seriousness of purpose, his unqualified reliability, and the influence he exerts on his environment without conscious effort. Such a man is destined to gain great influence and to set the world in order. Therefore it is favorable to see him.

7. A couple of notes on your reading, lildreamer. I learned to read the cards with

some slightly different emphases.

I read the 7 of Cups as "the card of illusion." It's been my experience that the 7 of Cups very often shows up in readings for alcoholics or addicts. I personally interpret it as a negative card, but maybe that's just me. Our current economic/political crap has to do with the crumbling of illusions, among other things.

The Mage card can be tricky--in fact, as well as a card indicating great skill, it's also sometimes seen as a card of tricksters and con men. I'm almost seeing the reversed Mage as an indication that the con men/banksters running our system are actually going down, losing power daily. By losing power, I don't mean they're out of office--they still occupy positions of power, but their personal skills and abilities, their "powers," are decreasing. While they set up a lot of the failure of our economy/political system, I often get the feeling that the whole thing is out of their control, which must be disconcerting to them. After all, they're major control freaks.

I've often seen the 6 of Swords come up in personal growth readings, for myself and others. I see it as "one step of a journey is complete--you're coming to a new shore. Understand this as a stage or plateau in your growth." I think, with everything going ker-blooey, many are growing up, and seeing things more clearly. The 6 of Cups indicates nostalgia for what we used to have, and now we know we must leave our nostalgia and learn what the "new shore" holds for us.

This is just how I read the cards. Everyone who reads cards develops a sense of the meanings that often add detail to the general meanings of the cards. Again, JUST MY .02 CENTS!

Now, I heard you can't read another's readings, as it puts the whole do-hickie right off. But what do I know.

Last night I stayed up late playing poker with Tarot cards. I got a full house and four people died.
