Sarah Palin STFU...
LAURA INGRAHAM, HOST: Would you agree to a debate with Al Gore on this issue?
SARAH PALIN: Oh my goodness. You know, it depends on what the venue would be, what the forum, because Laura, as you know, if it would be some kind of conventional, traditional debate, with his friends setting it up or being the commentators, I'll get clobbered, because they don't want to listen to the facts. They don't want to listen to some reasonable voices in this. And that was proven with the publication of this op-ed where they kind of got all wee-weed up about it and wanted to call me and others deniers of changing weather, weather patterns, and climate conditions, trying to, you know, make the issue into something that it is not.
INGRAHAM: Well, what if it's an Oxford style proper debate format? I mean, he's going to chicken out. I mean, if you challenge him to a debate, do you actually think he would accept it?
PALIN: I don't know. I don't know. Oh, he wouldn't want to lower himself I think to, you know, my level to debate little old Sarah Palin from Wasilla

In the interview, Palin praised President Obama for the speech he gave Thursday to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. She said the president's defense of war to combat evil could have been taken from the pages of her memoirs.
"Wow, that really sounded familiar," said Palin, a frequent Obama critic. "I talked, too, in my book about the fallen nature of man and why war is necessary at times."

in 2010. We need to get this woman in front of the cameras in debates - that is the only way she will shut up.
I heard she already chickened out of debating Gore.
I bet you heard that at DU.

5. Isn't it special when conservatives talk about facts?
Usually when we talk about facts you accuse us of racism and hate.

8. I would hope Gore wouldn't give her the time of day.
She is irrelevant.
I'm really surprised anyone still talks about her.
Even my most conservative friends thinks she's an idiot.
:whatever:

Arghhh!!!! It boggles the mind that there are people who actually think she's capable of running the country. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
You just managed to Own yourself with a capital P. Your president actually said that first, and I am fairly certain she was mocking him with those words.

26. Me, too.
Can you imagine Biden saying this in an interview? Or even in the privacy of his own home?
I can imagine Obama saying that in public, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTVjab2cHgk
Some mole should rush to DU and let them in on how Obama said wee weed up first. :-)

None of them will - pointing out the truth behind that verbiage is toxic and they know it.

I heard she already chickened out of debating Gore.
Gore does not debate. As a matter of fact Gore says there is no legitimate debate. Gore has been chickening out of debates forever.
-
Gore doesn't do anything without a captive audience of fawning acolytes. A local talk radio host whom Gore is well familiar with has offered to confront Al any number of times. No dice.

White House explains Obama 'Wee-weed up' comment
White House explains Obama 'Wee-weed up' comment
By PHILIP ELLIOTT, Associated Press Writer
Friday, August 21, 2009
(08-21) 13:59 PDT WASHINGTON (AP) --
President Barack Obama puzzled people when he said Washington "gets all wee-weed up." The White House offered a translation Friday: Folks are wetting the bed over the health care debate.
snip...
"There's something about August going into September where everybody in Washington gets all wee-weed up," Obama told an audience at the Democratic National Committee headquarters. "I don't know what it is. But that's what happens."
The "wee-weed" comment had reporters looking for a translation from Gibbs, who is from Alabama and known for his colorful Southern idioms.
"Let's do this in a way that is family-friendly. I think wee-weed up is when people just get all nervous for no particular reason," Gibbs said. "Bed-wetting would be probably the more consumer-friendly term."

5. A new phrase for the lexicon! "Wee-weed up."
I love it! It's silly and juvenile, but it has a coolness about it - perhaps because it came from President Obama?

23. I don't know which is funnier.
That President Obama said it, or that the press need to ask Gibbs for a translation.

Thanks, Servonaut! That's a great addition to this thread. It brings it all home.

No need to. They know about it. (most of them from the OP anyway)
They also know that at DU, even more so than in the MSM, Newspeak (http://www.newspeakdictionary.com/ns-prin.html) is the only accepted form of communication. All unbelievers are shunned. (Que sera sera)

28. I Can't Imagine Biden Saying That Either.
I'm no fan of Sarah Palin but it was President Obama who used the term "wee-wee'd up." I kind of like the term.
The sound of crickets are deafening in that thread now. :lmao:
