I just filled a rather expensive prescription that I proabbaly won't use up.
Is there any way to donate these pills? I don't mind the money, it's the idea of wasting pills someone else could use.
One suspects they're not controlled substances pills.
Probably antibiotics.

1. Unfortunately not
While people have tried to set up pill exchanges in the past, they've been stymied by local laws and organized resistance from everyone from pharmies to big pill.
Once those pills are in your hand, they're yours.
The reason most often given for not allowing it is the fact that a lot of people goof up their pills and put them into the wrong bottles. However, all pills are identifiable through manufacturer name, shape, color, and/or number. Still, this is what they drag out every time they want pill exchanges to be shut down. Other, better reasons are that the medicines might have been improperly stored, contaminated or might be past their expiration date.
You'd think we'd be able to return unused medicines to the pharmacy for a refund, wouldn't you? They won't allow that, either.
The next time you get an expensive scrip that you're only doing a trial of, which is what this one sounds like, get only a part of the scrip. Pharmies are used to that one since a lot of elderly folks in the Part D doughnut can't afford the whole thing at one time.
If they're antibiotics, though, take them all, every last one.

2. That's what I figured, but I figured if anyone knew any different, i'd find them here.

After my mother died - I had a liter bottle of Morphine Hydrochloride , and a whole bunch of packets of Morphine Sulfate pills and several packets of fentanyl patches and some other stuff I don't recall that wasn't quite so potent.
The liquids went into the drain - the solids went into the fire.
What's the bet the DUmmies would be in tears if they were forced to watch that.

Not gonna touch that bet with a ten-foot pole.

I only ate two eggs, can I return the other 10 to the store for a refund? :lmao:
Of course the DUmmie would like a cash refund...since Medicaid paid for the pills, not them.

A new DUmp villain! Big Pill.
-
Big Pill has been a DUmp villain since at least 2001 when everything on the face of the Earth was the fault of George W. Bush. The BFEE has appointed a black man to the office of the Presidency to distract the general public from their continuing malfeasance.
I can't believe the DUmmy wanted to donate his unused pills. That's a good one.

My guess is that it's an anti-biotic medication.
If it were a controlled substance, no way would the primitive part with them.

Isn't this a government run program? What the hell?! Is the DUmmie alluding to the government not taking care of it's end of the deal? Really?

Oh man, you've got to go post that up there through some mole! The reaction would be absolutely priceless - particularly if you posted it as if you hadn't done it yet and were trying to figure out what to do.

I would love to see that exchange!
