Oh my.
One wonders if the chinless wonder Lil Ava would pick Alabama, too.

I'll Take Alabama
I know I should not pick a winner at this point because I could turn out to be wrong. However, I think Alabama will beat Texas in this years national championship game. Texas barely beat Nebraska while Alabama trounced Florida. Alabama beat Florida by almost 20 points. Alabama's margin of victory could have been bigger if coach Nick Saban had not held his team back. At the end of the game it looked certain that Alabama would score again and then Saban began to let his quarterback take knees. So it seems to me that with Alabama pommeling Florida and Texas barely beating Nebraska Alabama should be able to beat Texas.
franksolich shouldn't pick a winner either, as he could turn out being wrong.

1. I'll take Texas
Alabama barely beat Tennessee at home needing a blocked kick so it seems Texas should win. I really don't know but I'm rooting for Texas to win it.
Disclosure: franksolich wants Texas to win.

Allow me to offer my condolences in advance.

We'll see.
Actually, my choice presented a dilemma.
When one has no sentimental or other ties with a particular college football team, one should always cheer for the one with the most history, tradition, and pageantry--which in this case is Alabama.
However.
Decent and civilized people are compelled to stick with their own.
That mandate supersedes the penultimate one.
Texas is our (Nebraska's) own, being in the spinal column of America (North Dakota down to Texas), and being in the Big 12.
I can't say I expect Texas to beat Alabama, but I'm surely hoping they will.

I don't blame you. I pull for all SEC teams in post season. Even L$Who. (SPIT)

After the trouble Texas had with your Huskers I'm not so sure that they can handle Alabama.
No offense to the Huskers intended, but if their O was as good as their D they'd probably be undefeated.

No offense taken, because that's exactly the case.
Defenses cannot win all on their own; they need help from the other half of the team.

hey frank,
i was told the "n" on the nebraska football helmet stood for "nowledge."

You better be, because that's a stale old joke, dating from when God was a boy.
Nebraska football's produced some of the finest in physicians, attorneys, dentists, optometrists, physicists, engineers, chemists, scientists, &c., &c., &c.
Last I checked, Nebraska football hasn't produced any professors in women's studies or basket-weaving or dope cultivation.

I first heard the joke about 18 months ago and thought it was pretty funny.

:loser:
DUmmie "logic" at work again. If that were the case, then Florida should have beat Bama because UF trounced their rival FSU while Bama barely beat their rival Auburn.
