Western is 0-11. Last chance.
Yeah, I noticed neither college had exactly stellar records.
-
Arkansas State 3, Western Kentucky 20, third quarter.
Oregon State 7, Oregon 0, first quarter.
-
Heh, I went to get a drink and the Beavs had already scored a TD. :cheersmate:

Any particular reason you're for Oregon State, sir?
I myself like all colleges with the last name of "Tech."
And I've always had the impression that colleges with the last name of "State"--the notable exception being Ohio State, of course--are less prestigious than colleges without that last name.

I can't stand Oregon after OU got robbed by the officials last time they were up there in Eugene. I want them to lose every game.
-
Big D stand by the Beavs! 4th and 20!

I recall Oklahoma got cheated, and flagrantly so, but couldn't remember who did it; for some reason, I was thinking it was in the Rose Bowl.

Yeah, the PAC-10 suspended the entire officiating crew for a game after that. One of the most glaring errors was a recovery by OU's Allen Patrick on a onside kick after which the officiating crew awarded the ball to Oregon. He's seen in video walking around with the football while the officials are still unpiling the dogpile. It's ridiculous. The instant replay official in the press box stepped down for any duties related to that within the PAC-10 after his bias was unquestionable.

You know, sir, it made my blood boil when Oklahoma played in the Rose Bowl.
There were newspaper stories about how people in southern California were all pissed off and bent out of shape because a Big 10 team wasn't coming to the Rose Bowl.
And that the one that was coming was.....Oklahoma.
The stories quoted people whining about "Well, who's Oklahoma?" nearly all of them insinuating that Oklahoma wasn't the same class as the Big 10, and that people from Oklahoma were some sort of human species inferior to Big 10 and Pacific Coast people.
It just really pissed me off, this snobbish elitism.
Oklahoma's in the same class with Ohio State, when it comes to history and tradition, which is to say Oklahoma's quite a few cuts above all the other teams in the Big 10.
And Oklahoma is without peer, when it comes to the class of their fans, especially when considered with the unclass of Big 10 fans, especially those from Penn State.
That just really pissed me off.
-
Arkansas State 24, Western Kentucky 20, fourth quarter.
-
Rodgers just got hooked. Seems we got some Duck fans wearing stripes tonight, again.

OU beat Ohio State the last time they played.
-
FG for the Beavs.
-
Oregon State 13, Oregon 14, second quarter.
-
Fumble! Beavs ball.
-
Oregon State 16, Oregon 14, second quarter.
-
Another FG. Beavs take the lead.
-
Arkansas State 24, Western Kentucky 20, final.
Well, one was hoping Western Kentucky would win.
An 0-12 season has to be as depressing as being a primitive.
-
Oregon State 16, Oregon 20, second quarter.
-
Looks like Oregon has the locker room lead.

It was in the late 70s in Columbus. I was there. Oklahoma scored a touchdown and field goal, all in last minute of the game, and won by I think one point.
It was a terrible thing.
The Rose Bowl is tradition. It's the PAC10 champion, usually sleeping at home in their own beds, against, normally, either Ohio State or M******n, who will be coming off seven idle weeks following the only important game either of them plays. So the PAC10 often wins, but it's tradition. It just doesn't seem right for other teams to be in the Rose Bowl. It's as if Texas played Iowa State at the State Fair, instead of Oklahoma.

That game made Uwe Von Schumman a legend.
Plus, the PAC-10 doesn't like having a beatdown laid on them (OU 34-14 WSU: 2002 Rose Bowl).
-
Whoops! TD OSU, baby! :cheersmate:
-
Another TD on the opening drive!
-
Both of these teams would get killed in the SEC.
Sorry, had to be said.
-
Holy sh*t! :o OSU #21's leg was twisted about 90 degrees there.
-
TD Legarrette Blount ::)...disgusting.
-
Beavs up by 5.
-
Okay...okay...Ducks up by 4.
-
F*ck, Ducks win. :(
Let's go, Buckeyes!
