I'm a holiday junkie, from about the week before Halloween through about the first week of January, so I have no single 'favorite' Christmas movie.  It all depends on what I'm in the mood for at the time.

On the short list of my favorites, you will find (in no particular order):

Its a Wonderful Life (Jimmy Stewart reminds me a great deal of my dad); the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol with George C. Scott, A Christmas Story (Ralph and Randy would have been around my oldest 2 brothers' ages in the late 40s/1950) and, of course, Christmas Vacation!  :-)

The Year Without a Santa Claus.  1974 animation at it's finest, and the Heat Miser and Snow Miser.

Classic.

Home Alone.  That movie always put me in a good Christmas spirit. :-)

Hey. If any of you are looking for any last-minute gift ideas for me, I have one. I'd like Frank Shirley, my boss, right here tonight. I want him brought from his happy holiday slumber over there on Melody Lane with all the other rich people and I want him brought right here, with a big ribbon on his head, and I want to look him straight in the eye and I want to tell him what a cheap, lying, no-good, rotten, fore-fleshing, low-life, snake-licking, dirt-eating, inbred, overstuffed, ignorant, blood-sucking, dog-kissing, brainless, dickless, hopeless, heartless, fat-ass, bug-eyed, stiff-legged, spotty-lipped, worm-headed sack of monkey shit he is. Hallelujah. Holy shit. Where's the Tylenol?
Christmas Vacation! Because you have to love the classics.

I can't decide between Lethal Weapon and Die Hard so I'll say The Nightmare Before Christmas.

I forgot that Lethal Weapon and Die Hard were also Christmas movies.  I need a re-do.

Ah, yep. John Kerry should have stuck with acting.

My favorites are It's a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story and A Christmas Carol (Patrick Stewart version)
