Title: Pedro asks for forgivness

Will Republicans now have to support Obama on something, or do a 180 on their war?

Could be a shrewd political calculation. I am not suggesting Obama is sending troops for political reasons. However, realizing he is backed into a corner, he gives the GOP just what it wants. Now what will they do? Do some of them have to start supporting him, and then explain to their constituents why they oppose health care but support an unpopular war?

It may turn out that Obama did what he genuinely felt he had to do, strategically, while forcing Republicans to but (sic) our money where their mouths are. Now, when the Democrats go looking for that war tax, the Republicans who wanted this expansion will have to explain why they aren't willing to pay for it.

Hey, forgive me for looking for a ray of sunshine.

Confusing post to say the least.

The question is will the Dems support the war, because under Bush they didn't.  They're the one's doing a 180 if they go along with Dear Leader.  Pedro's too dumb to have recognized this.

And the Dems are going to desire a war tax?  So the party of "America should surrender at every avaliable opportunity" is not only supporting a war, but they want to remind people they support war by tacking on a special tax?

Poor Pedro.  :mental: :loser:

If Obama was in this to win it then I would support him.

He doesn't even have the support of Gen. McChrystal for allowing him the exact resources he requested. Why would I support a deviation from that by a man with exactly 0 days under his belt on matters of military logistics and strategy?

I don't get Pedro Picasso's logic here.

The Republicans as usual will be consistent, supporting anything that assists the War on Terror, which of course includes the current War for the Liberation of Afghanistan.

The Democrats have never been in favor of liberating anybody, at least since 1945, and especially not those suffering under leftist totalitarianism.

It seems to me it's the Democrats who will have to one-eighty, if they do.
