Oh my.

The gigantic primitive did have Thanksgiving after all.

Well, our Thanksgiving meal was postponed until Saturday afternoon, but it was worth the wait. The vegebird from Whole Foods was even better than I expected it to be, which is good since those things cost a small fortune. Our vegan green bean casserole was excellent, as were the whipped sweet potatoes. We also had rice and bread stuffing. All in all it was great, but I think I'm done with any kind of feasting for the foreseeable future.

I'm just spinning my wheels as far as weight loss goes, when with my current body mass it should be just melting off me. I'm tired of that. I spent the past couple of days thinking about it, and I believe it's time to make good on the promise I made that if I needed to, I would buckle down and restrict my diet to force changes.

I'm already eating a salad nearly every day, with 3-2-1 dressing. So, instead of trying to come up with different types of meals all the time to supplement that, I think we'll just be having either basic potatoes or brown rice with veggies from now on. It'll be cheaper, easier to prepare, and lower in calories than many things we're having now.

I've set out start date for this transition into Mary's Mini for Saturday at the latest. That's Jeanette's final weekend day off, as she'll be switching to Thursday and Friday off beginning the following week. If any items need to be bought on Saturday to keep us for a few days, then Jeanette can go out and get them and we'll be ready.

What happened to his fancy slippers?  Wasn't he going to start exercising when his new footwear arrived?

Nothing fits. Lardass doesn't have feet, he's got pods. I don't remember, but he posted his shoe size once, and it was something like 8EEEEEE. It's a great excuse for him to stay inside playing his premium dungeons or warcraft or some DUmbass time killer game.

Well, I wear size 10E, and was trying to figure out how many square inches, or acres, 13EEEEEE might be, but got nowhere.

Can you imagine asking a shoe clerk, "Do you have this one in a 13 six E?"
If the behemoth ever slimmed down to a normal size, he'd be able to swim like a sea lion.

Okay, I just checked the gigantic primitive's vital statistics.

By the way, among other things, the gigantic primitive gets $1100 per month in social security disability, and the wife gets circa $200 a week at her telemarketing job.

For whatever that's worth.

Anyway, the gigantic primitive had to special-order the slippers, size 15EEEEE.

franksolich's feet measure circa 10.5" long and 4" wide at the widest point.

One wonders the length and width of 15EEEEE.

Frank, this chart shows a Size 15 to be almost 13 inches long.  http://brannock.com/brannock/images/chart_revised.jpg

Still working on the E bit.

Thanks, madam.

I always wondered about feet sizes.

I wear 10.5 or 11 E, whichever pair I happen to put on.

Why didn't shoe sizes evolve in a reasonable manner, like calling mine 10.5x4?

I have no clue.  I stared at the progression of numbers for a bit to make sense of it, but gave up.

Which brings up another question.

Since Levi's doesn't make their jeans superextraheavyduty large, what sort of pants does one suppose the gigantic primitive wears?

The 404-pound guy who shovels grain at the local grain elevator here wears Oshkosh overwalls that seem to fit him rather well.

Or does one suppose the gigantic primitive wears those grey gym things with the drawstring?

I hope to God the gigantic primitive doesn't wear spandex.

What's worse, since his last set of underwear required surgical removal, we likely have a gargantuan commando.

You just had to do it and of course the stain of perversion felled upon my brain from reading DUmp poison FORCED me to query and find this:

Well i'm going to make a ballpark guess and say his waist is probably 80-85 inches around. I bet if he does wear sweats{God that sounds so strange while talking about a 470 lb guy :o}they are about an 8X!

His weight loss has hit a predictable plateau.  Since he isn't doing anything else, he needs to get out and start walking hard, twice a day for twenty minutes.  Then he will start seeing the weight come off.

Okay, this morning I asked the 404-pound guy who shovels grain at the local grain elevator.

He's 56 years old, and wears shoe size 12 EEE.

He works 12 hours a day five days a week, and 6 hours a day on Saturdays.

He's been doing the same work for 30+ years.

In answer to the obvious question, yes, he makes good money, over $70,000 a year.

He thinks Bo is a joke, and won't be around after January 20, 2013.

He says his old man, now late, was "big" too.

I described the gigantic primitive to him.

He speculates the gigantic primitive's going to have lots and lots of problems, because the gigantic primitive only ever worked in soft jobs, sitting at tables in casinos dealing cards.  "There's a difference between soft flabby fat, and muscular fat that's built up over decades of hard work."

He doesn't think the world-famous Oshkosh overalls would work for the gigantic primitive, because while Oshkosh makes overalls for really fat people, they're for really fat people whose fat doesn't droop and sag.  Something--I didn't grasp it all--about how the gigantic primitive would end up cutting off blood circulation to that body part that makes the gigantic primitive a male, if he wore overalls.

"He'd be singing soprano in no time."

Like franksolich, he wishes the gigantic primitive well, but is not hopeful, given his "blame everybody but myself" attitude.

For whatever that's worth.

He is looking at a diet made up of almost exclusively carbohydrates.  Potatoes and brown rice.  It's Gulag food, and would turn anyone suicidal, or at least "sneaking" stuff late at night.
It's a lesson for all.  Once you sense you're packing a couple pounds more, nip it in the bud, Andy.  Nip it!
