Unreal. Team Obama may allow US soldiers to be tried in the Hague for war crimes.
The Wall Street Journal reported, via Jihad Watch:
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed “great regret†in August that the U.S. is not a signatory to the International Criminal Court (ICC). This has fueled speculation that the Obama administration may reverse another Bush policy and sign up for what could lead to the trial of Americans for war crimes in The Hague.
The ICC’s chief prosecutor, though, has no intention of waiting for Washington to submit to the court’s authority. Luis Moreno Ocampo says he already has jurisdiction—at least with respect to Afghanistan.

If this goes any further than meaningless and vague expressions of regret from the SoS, it isn't going to sit well with the military at all.

I would expect that a mass exodus would be likely.........
I'm certainly no expert, but as I understand it, one forfeits some of their constitutional protections upon entering the military, in exchange receives a set pf protections under USCMJ, and if some arbitrary "world" body were granted oversight over those protections and limitations, I, for one, would be very sceptical of service outside of US borders.......

It'll go over about as well as it did when her hubby tried to sign on to that circus court.

not exactly.

I can't see this happening. If the Imposter in Chief tries this, then (hopefully) there will be a public outcry that'll make the Tea Parties look like a cake walk.

The Constituion said nothing of a World Court, just American courts.

Unless ratified as a treaty...
...but I don't see 2/3 of the senate going for this.

I just can't see this happening - certainly not in this term.
First of all, the Obamabots are fully aware that their fearless leader is slipping - both in the polls and in image control. Obama has largely lost those independents who were suckered in by his "Hope and Change" mantra.
Obama is being seen more as a clueless, undiplomatic and narcissistic technician who doesn't even have the charisma that Slick Willie had. Therefore, Obama and his Chicago thugs, while having planned for a drop in popularity, are surprised to realize that their miscalculation about how adamant middle Americans are toward bailouts and bowing and wedding anniversary junkets to NYC has had, and continues to have, disastrous effects for the Zero.
I see the Zero dialing back and otherwise being far less likely to come up with rash, stupid, and one-world-order ideas like this one.
The Zero may be a putz, but he and his handlers are not stupid. They're gonna sit back and wait, placate the moonbats with more empty promises, and do only that which they have to, the healthcare abortion being absolutely priority #1. The Zero owns that piece of shit legislation and while he may run, duck and hide and leave Pelosi and Reid twisting in the breeze, he won't do much to aggravate the populace any more.
Of course, all bets are off when/if Obama/Reid/Pelosicare passes, because he'll then consider that enough of a victory to pull the checkbook out and start spending money like a drunken sailor again.

Dunno......The elections in Honduras have been met with crickets so far from the WH........he (and Hillary) certainly backed the wrong horse in that one, and pissed off most of our friends in Central America in the process......
I think that he is too narcissistic to stop now, he will systematically run his administration off the rails.........and blame Bush for it.......not that anyone with half a brain is buying that meme any more.
