So, who survived Turkey Day visiting with the Teabaggers in the family?
It was the same old shit from my aunt & my cousin: blame Obama for everything bad, Bush was the Second Coming & Beck, O'Reilly & Limbaugh are his profits - er, I mean "prophets" - and Sarah is the only hope for America. I tried to keep my mouth shut. After all they were feeding me.
Until my cousin said Obama was also responsible for "that terrorist at Ft Hood."
I said simply & calmly: "He wasn't a terrorist. He was just a nutcase."
He looked at me incredulous & angry (they're always angry, aren't they?): "He killed 13 people!"
Me (still calm): "So? Mass murderers aren't automatically terrorists. Was Jeffery Dahmer a terrorist?"
Him (even more angry): "But he's a radical Muslim! He attacked a military base!"
Me: "He attacked the community around the military base. And even that moron Bush said repeatedly that Muslims aren't the enemy. There are 3 million Muslims in America. Are they all terrorists?"
No answer.
"There are thousands who've serve in uniform, and hundreds who've died fighting for this country. Are they all terrorists, too?"
Still no answer.
"For something to be terrorism, there needs to be some political point to it. What was his political motivation?"
At this point, his 17-yr old son says under his breath "Oooooo! BURN!"
Finally, my cousin pipes up: "He was against the war!"
Me: "So are the great majority of the people in America, that's one of the reasons why Obama won last year. And if you're so afraid of terrorism, you would be too."
At this point, my aunt called out "No more politics!" and served pie.
Yeah. uh-huh. So murdering people on a military base because you are against a war isn't terrorism. I guess neither is spiking trees in the forest so loggers will get killed when they harvest them isn't terrorism either.

I want to see a list of those "hundreds" of Muslims that have died fighting "for" this country.

Since, dummie, your pretend argument wasn't answered correctly, I'll do it for you.
Me: "Potentially, yes. If they haven't committed terrorism, the majority of them would support it, even if they publicly state otherwise. Like you, they hate America, even if they profit from her."
I imagine what really happened was that you just wouldn't shut up, and your poor apolitical aunt finally had to tell you to shut your pie-hole.
-
As with racism the left now wants terrorism to be defined only by them for their own political purposes.
That is the thinking that leads to political prisoners which have always been the property of the left.

You got me curious and I've been searching a bit. So far I come up with 11 named Muslims killed in combat since WWII. I'm still looking for a credible site for a breakdown by religion.
ETA: found a Reuters quote at ExpressIndia regarding those serving. "Pentagon statistics show there are more Jews and Buddhists than Muslims serving in the 1.4 million strong, overwhelmingly Christian armed forces.
In the Marine Corps, there are only slightly more Muslims than Wiccans, who practice witchcraft. And in the Air Force, Wiccans outnumber Muslims by more than two to one.
The Pentagon lists 3,386 Muslims in active service, compared with 1.22 million Christians of a wide array of denominations, including little-known groups such as the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel or the Pentecostal Holiness Church International.
The statistics are drawn from personnel records that include a "religious faith code," a rubric soldiers are asked, but not obliged, to complete. Some Muslims in the military say their real number is higher, and estimates go up to 10,000."

Doesn't why or wheather it's a DUmmie or not but it is Florida.

Jeffrey Dahmer Wasn't a Muslim and never corresponded with a known Radical Imam! Jesus! It should really hurt to be this willfully ignorant! :whatever:

Nice strawman, baldguy.
All muslims aren't terrorists. However, this one was. Allahu Akbar, trying to contact al-Qaeda, etc., etc.
And, while all muslims aren't terrorists, the overwhelming majority of terrorists aren't members of the Lutheran Potluck supper club...

I sense much Bounciness.

Fire_Medic_Dave came along over there and doused the flames a little with "A prominent Democratic senator said it was terrorism." It astounds me the people who come back and say "uh uhh, no way blah blah blah." Why do they believe there is no such thing as terrorism in the world? What's it going to take? To have their own heads or limbs blown clean off in a bomb?"
Then, they started back to talking about their wingnut relatives, you know, the ones who are scared Socialism is about to overrun the country. The ones who *gasp* admire Sarah.

To admit to real terrorism is to admit that their world view is wrong.

It's quite interesting that everytime a DUmmie tells one of these bouncies.......errr, stories........they always describe themselves as calm, rational, intelligent, and knowledgeable about everything politics and the other person as right-wing, angry, stupid, and usually coming from some sort of southern state. They appear to never encounter a moderate-thinking person to disagree with. And with every story, there is some other person or group of people there to agree with the DUmmie.
I believe that about 99.9% of these stories are outright lies or embellished because in all of my years of living, I have never once encountered this in a store or at a family gathering.

Politics didn't even come up at our dinner yesterday. The economy did, but just in a general manner.
-
We're having our Thanksgiving this Sunday. I will be having my moonbat stepson there, but I do not believe he'll start anything. He knows exactly what I am. He once asked me, "I heard you were kind of conservative?" I said, "No. I AM conservative."
I agree, no politics at the table, it's bad for digestion and insulting to the cook. That's what blogs are for.

Same here. My cousin and I are both looking at buying a house, so we commiserated on how hard it is find anything, how strict the banks were on loans, how crummy it is that banks are holding back foreclosures, etc. Most of the discussion was about what everybody has been up to.

Same here, as well as Karin's and CR's dinners. A cousin of mine is a moonbat through and through--my aunt used to be a high-ranking person in our county's Conservative Party, and we have no idea where she went wrong. (Married a moonbat, too.) Said moonbat's siblings are conservative, too.
Nothing political was mentioned yesterday. We all knew what we were gathering for.

These DUmmies spew anger, hatred, and irrationality as naturally as breathing at all times, yet when they are in company with normal people, they suddenly assume a demeanor of cool superior unanswerable rationality (in their own minds). Does not compute.
-
To construct a really good bouncy, you need to quote Ty the bouncer.

Like most DUmmies I'm sure hairclubformen guy started the argument. If it even really occured.
