That is all.
Discuss.

young lady I know has two kiosks in a mall this year. She has to be there at 5am. My response was :mental: until she told me how much money she'll make this year. :thatsright:

I tried black Friday shopping once, and left the store when I saw the line winding its way through the aisles. I don't have the patience for it.
-
There are some stores opening up here at 4 AM!!!!
No way am I going shopping ....and probably won't leave the house. I can't stand the traffic on Black Friday.
I'm going to relax and read a book....may start decorating for Christmas.
-
People started camping in tents Wednesday night on Best Buy's sidewalks in Las Vegas. One group even brought a foosball table to help pass the time.
I think they are nuts.
-
Nope, not me, uh-uh. I do most of my Christmas shopping online and I'm almost done.

Amen Brah!!

I avoid malls this entire weekend.

Heres what I think of Black Friday...
Hey Circuit City.
Remember ME?
It was three years ago that you lured me into standing in sub zero temps with a couple hundred people for hours. Laptops you said. Black Friday only! Super low price. So I got up at 4am and drove through the dark and stood in line.
And waited. And waited. Having to pee the whole time so bad I thought I was going to die. The doors opened and the crowd surged ahead and my aching bladder and the chill blains were forgotten with the promise of an inexpensive entry level laptop to replace my aged and inadequate 3rd hand Dell.
But funny thing Circuit City... You never mentioned ANYWHERE (and I know because I checked after driving home) that it was a limited quantity, first come first served item. You never mentioned that you only had 25 of the ****ing things to sell. SO I'm standing there in what looked like the last 10 minutes of Dawn Of The Dead with shrieking shoppers mauling each other over electronics while some hapless 19 year old jackass stammers and can't tell me why the words "limited quantity, first come first served" never appeared in your GIANT FREAKING COME HITHER WHORE OF AN AD. And then when I waded through the carnage to try to relieve my bladder which was throbbing like a bass drum YOU HAD YOUR ONLY FRICKING BATHROOM CLOSED. For "service". :whatever:
So I drove home in the inky pre-dawn cold with the bitter ashes of defeat in my mouth after taking a retaliatory piss against your stupid blue dumpster. And I waited. And watched.
And today what do you think I saw when I went into town to buy a digital camera?
YOU!
Festooned with "60% off going out of business everything must go" signs, looking like the downtrodden and played out slattern you are. You had signs up trying to sell people your FIXTURES you're so broke dick. :evillaugh: I walked into your echoing, picked over carcass and snickered to myself at your mostly empty shelves and the satisfying remnants of all the crap that you were unable to foist on your unsuspecting victims.
I picked through the wretched remnants of your DVD racks and you know what Circuit City? I passed up the 50% off you were offering on a boxed set of The Unit Season 2 and went across the street and paid your mortal foe Best Buy full price for it as a final **** you. Because I hate you so much I was willing to pay full price rather than to give you half of that after you lured me out in the frigid dark and left me hanging with a full bladder and no new lap top.
Rest in pieces you bastids.
:bigbird:

Sorry, but Best Buy isn't much better, IMHO.
-
Best Buy is the worst.
Bait & Switch is their middle name

The CircuitCity.com name was bought out by either Newegg or Tiger Direct's mother company.

Agree with that....the shopping I do this weekend will be via my computer. Any deal I can find in a store I can find online. In fact I bought a hobby kit from Games Workshop that normally costs $247 for $198. Problem is most of the movie theaters in the area are at shopping malls...have to wait till Monday to go see Ninja Assassin. :-)

I remember reading that and laughing my ass off.
:rotf: - it's good for another read.
Although, count me as one of those who wouldn't stand in line ANYWHERE at 4 a.m., especially at a freakin' store. My sister does that shit, but she's insane - she has an excuse.
I'll do about 95% of my shopping on line. Screw that mall bullshit.
-
I was going to go after work but didn't have the money nor was I in the mood to deal with the crowds

Best Buy is no treat either. I worked for them for three years and everyday was as bad as the first. It's a wonder they stay in business.
