Now, Sarah Palin holds no office, holds no sway whatsoever over policy decisions, and according to conventional DUmmy "wisdom", is nothing more than some ditz who's a member of a now-defunct political party. So why the Palin Derangement Syndrome?

I stand by my original assertion: Dummies, being the spiteful, petty, vindictive adolescents they are, still seethe over how she stole the spotlight from The Annointed One after his acceptance speech for the Dem nomination in Denver. The Annointed One was supposed to be the shining media superstar from Denver-to-November, but his spotlight was snatched away in mid-bask just a couple of days later by the bombshell announcement of Palin as McCain's running mate, and for about two weeks after that it was, "Barack who?" from the media.

That and the fact that Sarah's popularity sent a stab of fear and uncertainty into their bellies, at least briefly, and we know that nothing pisses a person off more than to have a good scare thrown into them.

DUmmies will never forget this, and we know they're not a forgiving lot, so they have to go on "punishing" Sarah Palin for her transgressions in their own Junior High locker room style of cattiness. DUmmies savor their hate. They keep it in a velvet lined box, taking it out every day to stroke and nuzzle, to wrap themselves in like a cocoon until one can no longer see the person inside, just an envelope of unreasoning, insensate rage.

As a person she proves the lib feminist screed to be false so she must be destroyed.

To the more political savvy and pragmatic (very few at the DUmp qualify) she is a political force they don`t have a counter to.
Notice how Hoffman in NY 23 was hardly heard of until Sarah endorsed him.

On having voted for Obama
There are many people on this board who think that since I (and others on the left) voted for Obama, we have no room to complain. That we know full well what Obama was going to do coming into his administration, and that we should expect nothing more, or nothing less from him.

Frankly I find this position to be a fascist load of bullshit.

Yes, I voted for (and supported, with my time and money) Obama. This wasn't because I agreed with everything he said, far from it (for those of you who wish, go drag up some of my campaign season posts, you'll find that I strongly disagreed with Obama and Hillary). The only reason that I didn't vote Green was simple: Sarah Palin. Up until her announcement as VP, I was fully convinced that I would vote Green, but her first impression made it clear that I had to do whatever I could to keep her far from power.

Thus, I supported, and voted for Obama. I was not voting FOR Obama, but rather I was voting AGAINST Palin. Key difference there.

Considering that there is a good chance that Bible Spice will run for president, it should come as no surprise that people from both political parties are talking about her.

Perhaps she will, but from reading the rantings of the damaged-chromosome Left, she is looked upon with the same disdain as we look upon a Dennis Kucinich or a Cynthia McKinney - nothing more than a punchline to a joke. So why the wadded panties three and a half years out?

Nah, it's just that bottomless wellspring of hate to which The Compassionate Onesâ„¢ hold the water rights.

Even so, I'm not convinced she wants the GOP nomination.  Look at how HONEST she was in her latest round of interviews.  Look at how she regards the McCain people and the country club Republicans.  Her disgust at them isn't much different than what we've expressed.

Nah, she's too straightforward to be a serious candidate in 2012.  I hope I'm wrong, and I would support her against any serious named candidate thus far (with Jindal and DeMint right up there) but I'm not sure she wants those constraints put on her again.

Better yet, consider that 3 years out, if you mentioned Kucinich, McKinney, Sharpton, or Richardson, the most you might get out of a conservative is a chuckle and change of subject.

Mention Palin to a liberal and their face turns beet red, their veins start popping out, froth forms around their lips.

Hmmmmm...who's viable again?

I just look at the fact that she completely changed the tone and focus of the race in NY-23 by throwing her support behind an at the time unknown candidate and might have helped him win the race.

This in the face of a full onslaught of slash and burn character assassination by the MSM and despite what the alleged GOP "experts" said would happen.

I was flipping channels earlier, and the Oreilly rerun was his interview with Sarah Palin.  One thing that caught my attention was the fact that she had wanted to hit Lord Zero on his connections with Ayers and Wright. McCain vetoed the idea. WTF?  The political neophyte had the right idea, but the veteran campaigners shut her down.

Sparky and I agree on this.  I think that Palin will be the GOP candidate--in 2020.  Right now, she's doing exactly what Richard Nixon was doing in 1965--going around and speaking for whomever wanted her to speak for them.  She's racking up a rather lengthy list of allies, and more importantly, doing favors for them by raising money for them.  She's going to do exactly what Nixon did in '68, when the time comes--call those favors in to be repaid.  After the immense economic, social, and military damage that the Obamination wreaks, it's going to take close to three Republican presidents to clear it up (that two term thing) and get this country back as the "city on a hill."

Lefties such as TNO will wail and gnash their teeth because of this.  Good.  The one thing I think just may happen is that lefties everywhere will try to foster some sort of "People's Revolution" when the Obamessiah is beaten in 2012.  What it will rapidly turn into is a "Moonbat's Suicide Wish," which will be granted by conservatives.  We may not take the first shot in the next Civil War, but we will take the last shot.
