Mr. President---if you send 35,000 more troops to a land that we will never conquer, it will tell me and many others who voted for you that you just don't get it.

So many on this board warned of such outcomes. Obama is not a progressive. He did not run as a progressive. Why are people surprised that he does not act like a progressive? When you elect a corporatist, this is what is to be expected.
True he is not progressive all of his policies are regressive.

I had huge misgivings, but gladly voted for Obama when faced with the threat of McCain-Palin. This is not the "change" I hoped for. Not by a long shot.
This isn't the change I wanted either but it is the change I knew he was going to try to bring.

I will answer my own question: They weep for the death of weakness whenever their mortal enemy - the United States of America - shows strength. Their tears are selfish tears wept to grease the shitty little gears of their wicked ideology.

Laying aside the deeper philosophical beliefs they have this is viewed as a use of resources that should be directed towards lavishing goodies on them.
Every cent that goes to the defense of this country is regarded as a personal theft of the riches the government should award them out of fairness or whatever other whim they have.
