Under threat of a lawsuit by The Fayetteville Observer, The Associated Press, ABC and Capitol Broadcasting Co., Fort Bragg on Friday lifted restrictions on press coverage of an appearance by Sarah Palin.

The former Alaska governor is scheduled to sign copies of her book "Going Rogue" on Monday at the North Post Exchange.

The lawsuit, which was minutes away from being filed in federal court, asked for a temporary restraining order that would prohibit Fort Bragg from giving media less access to the event than that provided to the public. ....

Now Andrea Mitchell can continue stalking Sarah Palin.

The article in the Observer states that reporters will be banned from interviewing anyone at the book signing. What kind of commie crap is this?

They're afraid the book signing might get "political". Umm...ex-squeeze me. But Palin is no longer a politician. And whenever a president appears at a post, isn't that "political"?

Maybe the PC DoD doesn't want people to see how much us in uniform like Palin and detest Zero. The same DoD that didn't want to "offend" Hasan by calling him out for his terrorist activities.

They should do like the White House does for special events, allow one pool reporter and camera in.  Of course, it should be people from Fox News.

Screw the press. All anyone's been doing in the media is trying to attack her.

That's because the "media" is terrified of a down to earth, pro-life, conservative woman. In their warped libTURD eyes one must be an ivy league, liberal abortionist to be respected. A revolution is brewing. The "media" knows it, and they're scared to death.

I think Sarah Palin is supposed to be at a Barnes & Noble bookstore in Roanoke, Va, on Sunday....
Roanoke is about an hour's drive from my house....
Can you even begin to imagine the crowd that will be there.... :-)

Lucky.  It's the closest she's near me, and I'm 5 hours from Roanoke!   Though some people are traveling further than that I hear.

That would be my guess.

Imagine all the soldiers lining up with copies of her book for signing, and their wives and girlfriends and parents etc.  The press wants to report her as marginal and forgotten.  the sales numbers are making them look like idiots, but they still insist that is the story.

The bad part of that is there is a significant amount of major units deployed right now.  Like I said, maybe I can get my wife to buy one for me.
