Title: Vegas blimp back on plan

Now, earlier today (Thursday), I posted the then-latest on the gigantic primitive, the Vegas bllimp, but it was a pretty boring commentary, and I don't feel badly if no one read it.

This one, the latest, however is well worth reading.

first, a bunch of irrelevant stuff, after which the gigantic primitive gets down to the nitty-gritty

I've finally gotten myself mostly out of the horrible funk I was in for several weeks there. It culminated in my first major off-plan eating in over four months. The sick feeling I had after consuming a bunch of oily foods (some with traces of dairy but no meat) reminded me just why I'm here, and rather than continuing to abuse myself I was able to put a lid on things after just a couple of days.

I had biscuits one day, and then the following day our roommate came back wanting the number for a Pizza Hut or Domino's he could order from. I ended up retrieving the number online for him from the website. He asked if I wanted anything and like a dummy I ended up getting a Pasta Primavera bread bowl from Domino's.

Pasta and v*****s are great by themselves, but when you have a creamy sauce and a breadbowl that's coated in grease you have problems. And after eating that crap I had problems. I think I had enough gas to power half of greater Vegas the two days following that bread bowl.

The past several days have been back on plan as far as eating goes, and I feel a lot better now that the gunk has had time to work its way out of my system. I've been having a lot of wedge-cut potatoes dipped in mustard, v****e fried rice without oil, and stuff like that. We'll be doing another major shopping trip on Jeanette's next days off, which is good because our money was low and we haven't had a lot of stuff around.

I'll post later and talk about some of the other things that happened in the same time frame as the Lounge thread which got me so worked up. I was really, seriously depressed for a while there, but things have been better this past few days.

Yeah, franksolich gets depressed--sincerely--when the Vegas blimp doesn't post, because it leaves franksolich in dread fear that the gigantic primitive's relapsed, and won't be down to 400 by the holidays, after which he can dust off his resume and wear out the shoe-leather looking for a job.

Alas, unless he confirms otherwise, the gigantic primitive seems to be stuck at the 440 level, a long-standing plateau, and one which franksolich hopes he starts sliding down again.

Some people revel in their victimhood. I'll bet he/she/it blames fast food restaurants, Bush and the Joooooos for being obese.

BTW Frank. That avatar is...well...let's just say I'm glad it's small.

Sure the gigantic primitive does.

He's blamed it all on George Bush, many times.

The real cause of the problem was that the gigantic primitive aspired to be a card-dealer in a casino, rather than having a real job.  He got his wish, and became a card-dealer in a casino.

As an employee of the casino, the gigantic primitive got, as a fringe benefit, all the eats he wanted, from the restaurant kitchen; the finest in chow.

And the mostest in chow.

It took him a few years, but the gigantic primitive ballooned.

Then the gigantic primitive lost his job, perhaps because of fear he would bankrupt the casino restaurant, and got depressed.  So he sat around home all day long, chowing down, while his wife slaved away to make a lliving to support the both of them.

As for the avatar, it's a marketing ploy, to attract readers to this thead.

As soon as this thread has gotten 100 "views," then I'll put up a more tasteful avatar.

It's called "encouraging the market to pay attention."

I'm just imagining the looks he would get from the owners of an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet when he trundles his ass through the door.

"NO!!! YOU GO NOW!!!!!"

You know, sir, I don't go to casinos.

Too many people, too many bright flashing lights, too much commotion.

But for those who go to casinos, I've always wondered, if they're the card-playing rather than the slot-machine types, if they'd go to a table presided over by a human beach-ball, his card-dealing arms not long enough to reach to the table.

In movies, card-dealers are always skinny guys.

Something else to consider: Being hearing impaired would be a distinct advantage in going to a Vegas casino. The few times I have gone to Vegas, it took several days after returning home to stop hearing ringing bells and Elvis singing "Viva Las Vegas" in my head.

No, no, sir, it has the opposite effect.

For me, lights, colors, movement, are "noise," and sometimes it gets too "loud," leaving one with headaches.

Fortunately not lingering ones, but they do happen.

The only "special accommodation" I've ever requested, in job interviews, for example, is that the interview be held in a small closed room, or barring "small," a conference room.  There's not so much "noise," so much distraction, and so one can pay attention to the person doing the interviewing.

The worst interview I ever had was with the dean of a college; I had made the same reasonable request, but for some reason she ignored it, and the interview was held in her office.  Her office, in the manner of college professors who think it's cool, it's hip, it's trendy, it's with it, to work among clutter, was in considerable chaos and disarray, things heaped from the floor to the ceiling.

That was a very "noisy" office, and I got confused easily, and flubbed the interview.

And one Hell of a headache before it was even over.

Too much stuff, as one desperately scrambles around, trying to decipher what is important, and what is not important.

My son was a dealer, now a pit boss.  He's thin.

Don't EVER go to Memphis in August.  I swear every store is blasting Elvis music. And people sing.  Out loud.

Boy that ain't no lie.  When I was living in Hawaii one of the guys on the crew was leaving to go back to the mainland.  He was a diving buddy and we wanted to give him a going away party.  The other guys set it up and it was at the Rock Za club .... a stripper joint.  I'm not too fond of those places but I went to the party.

While we were sitting there a guy at the stage touched one of the strippers ... BIG MISTAKE!  Out of the shadows came this HUGE Samoan who walked up to the guy and asked him to leave.  The guy didn't want to leave so this Samoan grabbed him by his shirt with one hand and lifted him OFF THE GROUND and carried him to the door while he was squirming.  Lord have mercy.  I didn't want anything do to with the bouncers in that place and I'm a pretty good sized fellow.

No one made you order it.

No one made you eat the whole thing.

No one forced you to breadbowl along with it.

You did that. You did that to yourself. You are not a victim. You do not deserve sympathize.

You are entitled to nothing.

There. Thats off my abundant jiggly chest.

I am carrying around about 15 lbs I need to shed as a very short woman. However, no one made me eat fraking lasagne and bread for dinner last night. I did it. I know better, so does VB. You are the one who does it, quit being a victim, jerkwad. :censored:

15 lbs is nothing, I need to lose a lot more than that. Even though I am a pretty darn big guy I can still move around when I want to.

I can get up and go to the bathroom on MY OWN and I can read The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane that my niece left at home and shed a few tears... it was a SAD story okay?

No problem.  I won't go to Memphis in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, September, October, November, or December.

If losing weight was as easy as finding a lawyer, we'd all be thin.

Not so fast crock, being hearing impaired makes matters worse.

Sound, loud sound from a Casino or work place is dangerous to the body.

Take it from me, after 22 years of having to wear both plugs and ear muffs to protect my hearing at work---it is not just the decibels it is the vibrations that are a killer.

Constant rhythmic sound and the vibrations they cause will turn into Machine Music.

People who are totally deaf can get out on the dance floor and put others to shame by just going with the vibrations coming up under their feet.

For those with good hearing, even with the pads and plugs, enough gets in to jangle the nerves, tire one out very early and cause agitation.

There have been tests done on people that fall asleep with the radio or TV on. The brain gets no rest even in sleep, the body workings are never allowed to rest.

Our military has used noise as a weapon in Panama and Gitmo to cause others to relent and do anything just to have a few minutes of rest.

Joshua and his bugle blowers caused the walls to come tumbling down, perhaps not in actually but the relentless noise won the day for him.

Sound waves will actually in fact cause damage to structures as well as the people within them.

We humans are not built to with stand huge amounts of noise or the vibrations it causes. It matters not is we can hear the noise, it is what the vibrations are doing to our body's.

The Chinese use a gong to meditate, the body and mind cannot ignore it, Chanting, the beat of a drum, even when solders march across a bridge, they do not do that in unison, else the vibrations will cause the bridge to fail.
