Title: Apparently you can be blocked for adding too many friends to quickly on Facebook
Post by: jinxmchue on November 17, 2009, 01:44:38 PM
Yep.  They give you one warning if you add friends to quickly and then they block you if you try it again.  And the time frame doesn't matter, either.  I hadn't added friends in days, but today I added two in a short amount of time and that's all it took.  Re.  Tard.  Ed.

So it would be possible to get someone blocked by sending them a bunch of friend recommendations, or would it only work if you request the friends?

The latter only, I think.  I've never done the former a lot, so I could be wrong about that.

Oh, and they don't tell you when the block will be over, either.  I think they say a few minutes or hours on their FAQ, and considering how I was blocked after adding two friends after a couple of days of not doing anything, I could wait a couple more days and they could still block me the next time I add a friend.

I add three or four friends an hour and have never had a problem.

Have to wonder what the deal is.  Maybe you just piss them off.   :p
