Why do liberals choose to get their 'news' from comedy?  I have seen more liberals quote articles from Jon Stewart than I have from MSNBC (which is a liberal haven).

Wonder why that is?  Can't deal with the real deal?

I would guess it has to do with the immature mind it takes to embrace liberalism in the first place.  Anyone who swallows liberalism will take anything they can get.

Thats the funny thing about it. If you "parody" something it often allows you to speak more truth about that issue. Thats why Stewart and The Onion are so great. They dont have to worry about being PC and offending advertisers or managment, because people think of them as a parody show or in The Onion's case newspaper. Why dont you ask Tucker Carlson or Jim Kreamer if they think The Daily Show is a "fake" news show.

The fact that you think that somehow Stewart has some kind of legitimate credibility says all I need to know about the working of your twisted little mind.

What's your DU name?

Of course the entire premise of the article assumes the author knows more about the Constitution than the people it he seeks to ridicule.

This is akin to the guy who tells you not to trust ANYbody but by implication exempts himself from the indictment which leaves us to wonder why is everyone else supposed to be so untrustwrthy but his word is the ONLY acceptable truth.

Be funnier if the Onion talked about the Separation of Church and State Clause, or the Abortion Clause, or the Free Health Care Clause, or the Taking Over Private Industry Clause, or the Too Big To Fail Clause, or the TARP Clause....

Quote from:
"Dad's great, but listening to all that talk radio has put some weird ideas into his head," said daughter Samantha, a freshman at Reed College in Portland, OR. "He believes the Constitution allows the government to torture people and ban gay marriage, yet he doesn't even know that it guarantees universal health care."

The part about how libs believe the Constitution guarantees universal healthcare is truthful, no doubt about that.
