Barack Obama acknowledged today that time has run out to secure a binding climate deal at Copenhagen and began moving towards a two-stage process that would delay a legal pact until next year at the earliest.

I think it is more the fact that his take over f the health care system hasn't happened yet.  He thought it would fly through congress with ease, simply because he is "The One".  He also thought that Cap and Tax would be law by now, so He  could play the leader in Copenhagen.

The American economy dodges a bullet, but the bastards are reloading.  Our best chance is to get a Senate that won't ratify, and I would not count McCain or a couple of others in for sure on a Republican filibuster.
