I just stumbled across the anti-DU and it's freaking me out.

Every now and then, I decide to do a Google search of my former username, jtg33, because that's the kind of thing I like to do when I'm bored and wondering what I've accomplished on the tubular interwebs. The site, which I will not provide a link to because I've already spent enough time in the last ten minutes looking around, has an entire forum dedicated to DU trashing. They have a sticky thread that has all of our old user names and what we changed them to earlier this year.

I think I'm going to stop Googling myself now. I tend to find things I don't like.

Curse you, Interwebz!

I need urgently to get this up.

I'll post the primitive comments in a bit.

Initially, the primitives can't find us.

And then:

12. I just searched "jtg33" without the quotation marks,

The hit that roused my curiosity was the last hit on the bottom of page 2, from an awful place apparently called the Conservative Cave.

22. I noticed, too, that we are referred to as "primitives" even as the site-owner (?) prides himself on how friendly he is with everyone. I guess he doesn't know the meaning of the word "hypocrite"

For the record, franksolich, one of the nicest guys one can hope to meet, is NOT an owner of this site.

28. I found that site the same way. Yeah, I noticed the primitives thing, also.

Actually, I found the site more amusing than anything else. When someone has so much time on their hands that they make fun of someone on another web site, it says a lot about that person. I imagine he does that when his mother lets him on the computer. What really amused me, is the guy uses a George Steinbrenner avatar!!

It's been a while since the rabid terrapin primitive's been here.

It's been a while since franksolich used the George Steinbrenner avatar.

30. Ah yes, one of the sites that must not be mentioned.

Some time ago I started a thread in GD regarding That Site and it was locked in no time.

I know how you feel, though. People with nothing better to do than monitor DU must have extra Cheeto stains on their keyboards. Freaky, I know. Just pay them no mind.

23. I stumbled upon a "cave"
really pathetic place run by a "coach" who went to school with Skinner and talks about him a lot. He hates EarlG. People there call each of us 'Primitive so-and-so' every time they mention us as if it 'Primitive' is part of our names.

Shallow, vain, judgemental people who think they are somehow superior. It would be funny if it wasn't pathetic.

Seems to know an awful lot about this place for just "stumbling upon" and briefly browsing.

13. There's a couple of those - funny stuff!

They do serve a purpose, however: occasionally a mysterious TSing can be cleared up by a trawl through the anti-DU dregs. They're pretty fixated on DU, so a lot of deleted threads/posts get preserved on the winger sites. (Well, actually they serve two purposes, if you count laughing at them as the second.)

20. I have found one post I supposedly wrote quoted at one of the nutty far right sites, but it was so obviously rewritten with language that wasn't mine that it was just funny.

One particular post of mine is quoted on a bunch of sites. I said that I hate to wish ill on anyone but I hope Roberts doesn't spend very long on the Supreme Court. That is quoted a lot as supposed proof that Democrats are vicious evil people who wish evil upon benevolent republicans.

Other than those, I don't think I'm out there much.

Poor Little Goons!  They so want to believe it is we, as we make fun of them and use them for our entertainment, who are the pathetic group.

Hey, Little Goons:  Only pathetic little goons need to have their website isolated from opposing views.  That would be DU.

26. I was just looking in that cave for a bit and got tired of looking, mostly due to your observations about them. They certainly spend an awful amount of time monitoring us, making me wonder how many of them are also "spending the boss' dime" to do so

I noticed in a domain-restricted Google search that I was lumped in with some other quoted threads, but not yet singled out. As they "watch" us all, I'm guessing I'm now in their sights

Nope, the primitive's still out of our sights, because he's not a PoP.

There were at times more than 20 people reading this thread.

One way to measure is by looking at "times read"--currently at 244.

Some of those 244 are of course repeaters, but it gives a general idea.

The thread is about two hours old, and it's the day time.

This is also the subject of a DUmmie ALERT! on P-J Comix's most-excellent DUmmie FUnnies, drawing an audience from freerepublic too.

Because conservativecave is small, and most members working for a living, the "peak" times here tend to be around suppertime into late night.  As for non-members, the "peak" times are early in the morning, and this was posted too late for that.

I suggest one check back about coffee-break time tomorrow morning (Friday) to see the "times read."

My guess is that since you comment about Skins, you must be on the same level as he is - they believe people are tiered, and the lowly masses may not ever address those who are above them without being addressed first.  Typical primitive behavior

Yeah.  The way I recall it, we were being very kind and sympathetic and solicitous towards the falling phoenix primitive, and really nasty towards the sniffing primitive and really really really really really nasty towards the strumpety whore primitive who stole the sniffing primitive away from the falling phoenix primitive.

The falling phoenix primitive has no grounds to stand on, when it comes to complaining about her publicity over here.

I also have a question for you.  Why is it that you think people are impressed by the fact that you own a fake Coach purse, go on cruises, and talk about all of the money you spend but then you claim to be so poor?  What's up with that, girl?

 :ohsnap:

I second the teacher remark -- I'm SO glad she's at least 1500 miles to my west and away from my 8th grader! The kids who are saddled with her deserve much, much better.

And Greenbriar, what's the deal with all the juvenile names you use to describe people in the media with whom you disagree (Limpballs, etc)?  I believe you are only a couple of years younger than I and I outgrew that sometime in the middle school years. Are you trying for acceptance and/or accolades from the rest of those babbling idiots over there and, if so, why?

Lastly, what's with the sudden appreciation of the man who has had to put up with you for the last 20 years? Weren't you thinking of tossing him aside for some band leader or DJ or something from your cruise of a couple years ago? And telling all your "friends" in the lounge that he drank too much and was mean? Real nice!  :hammer: :bird:

Just for the record, I rarely call the DUmmies "primitives". I call them what they are: DUmmies.

Someone at freerepublic made a similar comment.

My response:

Quote
No, sir, I use the word “primitive” or “primitives” all the time, even in real life, to describe the inhabitants of Skins’s island.

As explained in “DU for guests” (now temporarily stashed away for revision), “DUmmie” and “DUmmies” are interchangeable with “primitive” and “primitives.”

One uses whichever term he wishes to use.

However, to split hairs, there is a microscopic minor difference, depending upon which word one chooses.

If one uses “DUmmie” or “DUmmies,” that’s a good indicator the person views the primitives as silly or stupid or ridiculous or funny.

If one uses “primitive” or “primitives,” that’s a good indicator the person views the DUmmies as exceptionally depraved and ugly and bestial and coarse.

But all in all, one just uses the term he’s most comfortable using. My own perception of the primitives should be reasonably clear.

I always call them DUmmies - though I prefer DUmmy in the singular because it just seems more consistent with English norms. Nonetheless, I still consider them to be exceptionally depraved and ugly and bestial and coarse, while they're also silly, stupid, ridiculous, and funny. Switch hitters.

You know, one doesn't have to do that.

All one has to do is post a lot on the internet.

It's been a while, but I was horrified to see how much "franksolich" has been around; although of course I've been on the internet since early 1996, a tad bit earlier, by months or a year or two, than the "average".

There were tens of thousands of entries listed.

Damn.

Someone wanting to read all of franksolich would have to dedicate the better part of a decade to do that.

The Bostonian Drunkard ain't nuthin', compared with franksolich.

That they choose to post such things is just a byproduct of their lunacy and evidence of how stupid they are.

It's sort of a fine line, but it's been my observation that decent and civilized people stay on the right side of the line.

The general rule is that the primitives on Skins's island are evaluated and laughed at based upon how they present themselves on Skins's island, or some other island.

I'm not aware of any instance where a primitive's private non-internet life has been pried into.....although alas franksolich's has been, by the primitives.

It's not the same thing as stalking; it's the same thing as reading the comics in the daily newspaper, and commenting upon them.

Generally, if something about a primitive--a personal characteristic, financial status, geographic area, &c., &c., &c.--is mentioned in the DUmpster, it's because the primitive himself first mentioned it.

I myself have been pretty active watching and evaluating the primitives since early 2001, in various web-sites and forums, and I'm not aware of a single instance where I ever spilled the beans on a primitive without the primitive first vomiting up those beans.

Such as the instance of the sparkling husband primitive, whose wife makes him share the bathroom in the basement with the cat-litter box because she doesn't want the "good" bathroom all stenched up, or the Joanne98 primitive, who changes her underwear only once every ten days, or Pedro Picasso, who lacks fiber and roughage in his diet--those are details the individual primitive mentioned first, before they became discussed here, or any other place where the primitives are watched and evaluated.

Sounds like it's accomplishing exactly what we intended.

Allow me to clarify:  How they view this site is as irrelevant as they are.  IOW, who cares if they like it or not.  This forum isn't for them.  That we permit them to watch us looking down at them should be sufficient.

Nothing you read in the dumpster isn't anything the dummies haven't posted and put out there for scrutiny! If one doesn't want things scrutinized, one shouldn't post personal things on the internet! Btw Sherry....These people have earned every bit of scorn they receive here and other places! They are destroying our country from within now, consider who they voted into office! Okay, you guys. Quit making fun of the DUmmies and vote democrat, or at least host a ronbot party. And show some respect for the jug-eared Kenyan, learn to embrace global warming, show your gay pride, and try attending a cap-and-trade rally. All this intolerance for the wisdom of democrats and DUmmies makes people queasy.

At least it makes closet DUmmies queasy.

I'm gonna start by putting the last of my Dead Ted bumper stickers on eBay and joining Planned Parenthood. Well, maybe not. How about just voting to impoverish anyone with more money than I have? That should make people feel better, shouldn't it?

All of the fine points above have been taken.

I'm not worried about anyone's "feelings."  This is teh interwebs, after all.

I just thought this particular thread was creepy and played right into their hands.  That is just my opinion.  I realize they put their personal lives and their idiot-syncracies out there for the world, but I thought this thread may have inched its toe over that fine line franksolich spoke of.
Title: Re: BREAKING -- we've been caught by the primitives

I realize they put their personal lives and their idiot-syncracies out there for the world, but I thought this thread may have inched its toe over that fine line franksolich spoke of.

But the "fine line" is that boundary between what the primitives freely and voluntarily divulge about themselves, and what one might know about a particular primitive (his real name, his address, and somesuch) that the primitive has NOT revealed.

That line doesn't seem to have ever been crossed.

I don't think it's never been crossed because of the boundary line; I think it's never been crossed simply because decent and civilized people have their own personal moral boundaries, which coincidentally coincide with this one.

If such a line were crossed, even innocently and accidentally, that post would be immediately deleted.  And as one can see, we're not in any regular habit of having to delete posts here, like they have to do quite often on Skins's island.  I think as a moderator, I've deleted exactly one since January 3, 2008--and that had nothing to do with any private details of a primitive; it was the language, nothing more.

To expand on an earlier point, using Pedro Picasso, the poster-boy for Skins's island, as the example.  I happen to know that Pedro Picasso is edging towards 51 years of age, that Pedro Picasso is blond, and that Pedro Picasso is well-preserved for his age.

I know these personal details because Pedro Picasso blabbed them to the whole world.

In real life, if Pedro Picasso were to suddenly show up at the Tumbleweed Cafe out here in the Sandhills of Nebraska, I wouldn't know him from Adam.

My only clue would be a body odor slightly reminescent of wet dead fish, nearly all of which is covered by cologne and deodorant, but not entirely all.  Maybe 97% or 98% masked, but not 100%.  The guy's married after all, and needs to smell decent for the wife.

Nebraskans, because of our clean pure air, have sensitive nostrils, and I could scent something like that two tables away.

So.....how do I know Pedro Picasso's body odor?

Because of a general knowledge of biology, and clues regarding personal tastes and habits that Pedro Picasso himself has blabbed to the whole world on Skins's island.

A general knowledge of biology, and personal tastes and habits that primitives yik-yak about on Skins's island always gives one good clues as to what a particular primitive smells like.

Well they post all kinds of personal info on DU. The thing is, what they post tends to show just how big of liars they are. Like Greenbriar for instance who claims she needs to go to the food bank one day the next day her wonderful husband (who was a scumbag the day before) is taking her on a cruise. Greenbriar also was suspended for a few days for posting another DUmmy's work. How sad one must be to steal from another DUmmy  :-)

Title: Re: BREAKING -- we've been caught by the primitives

Well they post all kinds of personal info on DU.

I've always thought it would be a good idea for my fellow alum Skins to give his charges, the primitives, courses in internet security, because the primitives seem to be rather careless with their personal information.

The primitives of course never have anything to fear from decent and civilized people, but one has to be on the lookout for Fat Che, for example, who was always "data mining" his fellow primitives so as to procure personal information about them to use for pecuniary or blackmail purposes.

I freaked one time--and it's probably in the archives here--when the sparkling husband primitive posted a video of his dogs, and the link gave the real-life name of the sparkling husband primitive.

I was stunned.

Imagine what a malicious person, such as Fat Che, could do with that information.

Skins really needs to illuminate the primitives about being careful.

As for myself, I apply slightly more-strigent rules; all information I get from the primitives comes only from what the primitives blab on Skins's island.  Many primitives post on other web-sites, too, but I ignore those.

For example, the Die alte Sau, the dysmenopausal Kansas school teacher, is known to post on another left-wing hate site, and in fact has been quoted here from there, but I myself pay no attention to what the Die alte Sau says over there, restricting myself to what the Die alte Sau says on Skins's island, no further than that.

Some primitives have their own web-sites--Oscar Wilde, Pedro Picasso, Gloria Swanson, the subway cat, the maudlin waif primitive, &c., &c., &c.--but I've never been to those because those are off Skins's island.

I suppose these self-imposed boundaries of mine are an attempt to "laboratorize" Skins's island; to keep the primitives under observation in a limited enclosed area; if one were to follow the primitives all over the internet, instead of just on Skins's island, it would be a full-time job.

Not at all, DUmmies, and liberals in general, need to be challenged on everything they say...they do not allow any form of debate on their site...the "free speech" crowd allows no dissent.  Imagine that?

This is a great subforum when you need a good laugh. This is also a place where you learn about liberals....from their own vile and lying mouths.
