I don't know what possessed Gloria to make such a gaffe. Whatever she thinks privately, she should never have taken this position.

I don't think liberal women of Gloria's age who are no longer sexually viable should ever be quoted in the press.  Their diminished brain function can be nothing but an embarrassment to their cause.  Just look at Helen Thomas, that old Arab woman.

She invited Gloria Steinem to speak at a function in Texas, a state she desperately needs to win?  Either she's suffered a series of small strokes, rendering her an idiot, or she's on a suicide run.

Every time Gloria opens her mouth publicly, she sets the Women's Movement back 60 years.

What have she and her ilk done for us, anyway?  Let's see...... I have to work a full-time job, because my husband's (not to shabby by today's sandards) salary would only allow me to stay home and raise the kids if we lived in a neighborhood full of thugs that would un-do any infulence I have on my kids.  And, my salary will never equal what a man makes in my position.  Oh - and I get to cook and clean, launder, bathe, supervise homework, nurse illnesses, all on my generous time off from my 40-hour job.

Yup...We've come a long way, baby!   :sarcasm:

Oh well, at least I can vote.
