Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Michael Steele, who is known for making controversial statements, on Sunday said that white Republicans are afraid of him.

MARTIN: But your candidates got to talk to them. One of the criticisms I've always had is Republicans -- white Republicans -- have been scared of black folks.
To clarify, he didn't say it, he just agreed with the above statement.
I don't know where this Martin fellow got this idea. I'm not aware of any conservative Republicans who are afraid of blacks. Maybe there's some liberal Republicans that are, but I don't know of any. Something tells me Martin is believing something that just isn't true, and for no reason.
