Quick Question: Is abortion covered under the Canadian plan or British NHS?
Edited on Sat Nov-07-09 04:54 PM by Shagbark Hickory
And if not then why don't we just take it out? I am pro choice but I don't think thing that aren't medically necessary should be covered. At least not at this stage of the game.

12. Are you kidding?
As long as abortion remains a legal, constitutionally protected medical procedure, it ought to be covered by insurance plans, private or public.
You're comparing a woman's choice to a ****ing upholstery stain... are you?

45. They are medically necessary. Or don't you consider a woman not wanting to carry the child
a necessity to terminate? You think it's in the best interest of the health of the mother and fetus for an unwanted pregnancy to go to term?

48. An unwanted pregnancy is just like an upolstery stain.
It's a nuisance, ugly to look at and stuff... but you can just ignore it.

3. If I get pregnant and don't want to have the baby, abortion is a medical necessity.
Covering childbirth but not abortion is outrageously unfair.

43. If I ever get pregnant, abortion will be a medical necessity.
What others consider to be a Miracle from Gawd I would consider a parasite and I'd want the little ****er removed, posthaste.
Sorry if that doesn't jive with anyone's sentimentality but that's my view on the matter.
I will stop with that, evil that has no Earthly description.

lol
If they want everyone covered for everything they will have a long wait.
Obama-Pelosi Care is going to cover less and less each year.

Hey Dummies, if you don't want any kids, then get spayed/nuetered. Works every time!

What a miserable person Ms. Kitty is.

Yes, abortions are covered, but the waiting list can be up to and over a year.

Gives a whole new perspective on "late-term abortion".... :lmao:

British? Probably so. That's why Muslims in the country are out-breeding them, you f'n retards. Nice work, dipshits.

It is not provided in the NHS except under strict guidelines and seeking a private abortion without a doctor referral saying it is medically necessary is NOT covered by the NHS:
http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/abortion/Pages/Introduction.aspx
he law in the UK makes it legal to have an abortion during the first 24 weeks of pregnancy, provided that certain criteria are met.
The Abortion Act 1967 covers the UK mainland (England, Scotland, and Wales), but not Northern Ireland. The law states that:
* Abortions must be carried out in a hospital or a specialised licensed clinic.
* Two doctors must agree that an abortion would cause less damage to a woman's physical or mental health than continuing with the pregnancy.
and
You can contact a private abortion clinic without being referred by a doctor. However, the NHS will not pay for this, and before the abortion can take place the agreement of two doctors is still required.
My guess is it is difficult to get a referral so most abortions are done privately in the UK(I'm sure doctors can be 'shopped' to find unethical ones who say it is medically necessary) which means that although they have a feel good clause that says the NHS pays with referral to their clinics and approval by two docs, the wait times likely make that impossible so that all abortions end up being private and privately funded anyway. Stupid dummies. :lmao:

I doubt the primitives are aware of this, but the American laws regarding abortion are the loosest in the western world, including "progressive" Europe.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the primitive ask the question, frank. I was too occupied at the time to look it up, particularly as it relates to their massive, failing nationalized healthcare systems, but voila, there it was. What amazes me is that a primitive has to shout out a question to their fellow chest beaters when all it takes is a quick google search to find such information as that they are requesting. I surmise they are either too afraid to find an answer that contradicts their own beliefs or, like anything else they want, they don't want to do any of the legwork to get to what they need. Probably a bit of both.
