Title: White House: FOX off-limits -- strategist
Post by: bijou on November 06, 2009, 11:35:38 AM
Quote
At least one Democratic political strategist has gotten a blunt warning from the White House to never appear on Fox News Channel, an outlet that presidential aides have depicted as not so much a news-gathering operation as a political opponent bent on damaging the Obama administration.

Political consultants are a staple of cable television talk shows, analyzing current events based on their own experiences working on campaigns or in government.

One Democratic strategist said that shortly after an appearance on Fox he got a phone call from a White House official telling him not to be a guest on the show again. The call had an intimidating tone, he said.

The message was, "We better not see you on again,'' said the strategist, who spoke on condition of anonymity so as not to run afoul of the White House. An implicit suggestion, he said, was that "clients might stop using you if you continue.'' ...

I thought so too, and Axelrod was on spinning the election results.  But Obama's not known for consistency.

Don't listen to what comes out of the Ministry of Truth. Obama and Rahm are products of Chicago politics: mean, vindictive and never forgetting the slightest perceived affront.

Here's the money clue.  Sounds like the anonymous Fox frequenter may have been a K-Street Lobbyist.  Possibly an attorney at a liberal firm, but I wouldn't put a lot of money down on that guess.

Hell, I'll call Bob Beckel and tell him to stay off of Fox News.

Can't stand that guy.

Gotta agree with ya, BC.

My money on the "anonymous Dem startegist" is Doug Schoen or Pat Caddell.  I think Caddell might tell them to **** off, though.

He's the token Kool-Aid drinker. And I've never seen him smile.

This goes to show just what a bunch of gutless wonders we have running the country. If they're frightened (and that's what it is, cowardice) by one network that disagrees with them, god help America if the Manchild in the White House and his group of sycophants actually have to face a real crysis.

Has to be someone very close to White House.

I saw Plouffe on tv the other day, pushing his book....but I can't remember what channel he was on.

I think I saw him on Fox yesterday.  I don't watch any of those other channels except the occasional CNN.
