All Virginia and New York-23 prove is that the looney right is reorganized and re-energized
We need to take them seriously and fight them like mad. The moderate GOP may be dead, but the looney right is alive and well.

Damn, Frank. I hope she has big boobaliez and likes to **** 'cause she ain't the sharpest lightbulb in the feedyard.

6. The GOP picked a hard right candidate, not a more moderate type
The hard right wing is using tonight's election to prove that the GOP should run all hard right people in 2010.

Uh...no. The GOP picked a ****ing leftist and got their ass handed to them by the people.

4. They didn't go Republican, they went hard right. (The Republican in NY was forced out of the race)
The biggest mistake would be to see this as the same old game with the same old rules.

Yeah- she was so GOP ACORN was sucking her teets.

9. It's also the home of Fort Drum, still a major military installation.
Like so many "conservatives", they live off of the government they despise.

Tesha

Yeah...except the military votes primarily in their home of residence, not where they are assigned, retard.

NY-23 is not about winning, although that would have been nice and he came SO CLOSE.... if the GOP spoiler wasn't on the ballot, who knows?

NY-23 showed the GOP where the votes and enthusiasm comes from. They better paid heed.

Or they might be down there with the Libertarians someday.

******* I am so depressed today.  And pissed off at a certain 6% of this ****ing district.  I feel like putting the house up for sale and getting the hell out of this godforsaken state.

Exactly, Coach.  I've got a ****ing lefty as my Rep.  At least for 363 more days, that is.

Nope, no projection there.  Then again, so many of the engineers and management in defense contractors I ran into were certified moonbats, yet had no problem cashing their checks every two weeks.

And for some strange reason, the name "Noam Chomsky" comes to mind.  Google what he did at MIT, won't you DUmmies?

Their arguments are nearly word-for-word what I heard on the Bill Press show this morning.  :puke:

The poverty of thought over there is laughable and sad all at the same time.

Karin, hang in there.  Even getting Scozzafranknbeans to get the hell out is a win in and of itself.

At the very least, what the race suggests--strongly, IMO--is that Republicans won't be elected without returning to their conservative base.  With the Obamessiah in office, more and more moderates will see that to un**** the country, they will have to strongly support conservatives.

Stop trying to purge the Republican party.  We need an open tent and must accept all principles, even if they're not Republican principles.

Noot can blow my dog.

Fair enough.  I, personally, wouldn't put my dog through that kind of abuse.   :-)

From your lips to the moderates' ears, hopefully.

Here's another thought. Bill isn't going to have a barrel of fun at this job. He's going to have a lot of people making life miserable for him, his phone constantly ringing off the hook, his email box clogged, his snail mail littering the place, angry people waving signs outside his office, a grueling race next year. Careful what you wish for.   51% did not want him.  Don't know as I'd want the job.

Nikki Stoner must be stoned the hard right winger was shunned by the Repukes.

As for the last part of that statement about proof for running hard right people all you have to do is look at Reagan. He ran as a hardcore conservative and won bigtime both times. Bush Sr was a moderate and only had one term losing to a conservative talking democrat (notice I said talking not an actual conservative). Obama even tried to sound not as liberal. So why is it DUmmies that your side has to downplay their beliefs and act moderate in order to win and our side can win by being a non apologetic conservative?

That is an excellent point, Freeper.  That Nikki Stone is so extremely uninformed.  Uh, almost like delusional stupid.
