What is this "weekend" of which you speak?
Another day on the Seabrook Death March--now up to day 33. Current schedule has us coming off shift somewhere in the 11th-13th timeframe, assuming nothing else goes wrong.
Cloudy, clammy, cool, crappy--typical fall NH weather.
Can't wait to see sun and feel warmth again, sometime around next May/June timeframe, unless I take a vacation before then.

It's been raining off and on since yesterday afternoon, sometimes heavy. Beats the heck out of snow.

Heavy rain expected here late in the day.
Supposed to spend Saturday cutting down a couple of dead trees. If it rains, I won't be able to do that. :uhsure: Darn.

It's going to clear off in time for the gremlins tomorrow.

I actually saw some dry pavement for the first time in about 10 days. My yard is still a swamp :whatever: but a bit of dry concrete is a welcome sight.
Warm 'n windy, though. Not bad. Would rather have that than arctic blasts.
Got all 3 lawn mower blades sharpened. Will install those tomorrow and bed the zero-turn down for the winter.

I made an official offer on a house last night. I'm still somewhat in shock. Parts of the house are nice, the lot is huge for not being rural (almost a quarter acre), and parts of the house were built without permits.
We are having a bit of a halloween party at work this afternoon, which is nice just because it means l get to spend some time not working :p I still haven't decided if I want to dress up or not.

Moving day is Sunday...with rain in the forecast. Figures. Everything is pretty much boxed up except for what we'll need between now and then. Doing some business today, then will be dismantling our bed and packing up the last minute stuff tomorrow. I've got my peeps lined up to help load the truck....everyone better show or I am seriously f*cked.
Can't WAIT until this is done and our family is together again. I miss my kids. :bawl:
And Sparky, I expect you to come down sometime soon....I've got the Chesapeake Bay 10 minutes west, the ocean 10 minutes east, and Chincoteague/Assateague Islands 20 minutes north, so there's lots of beaches and tons of fishing. No excuses, kiddo. Start planning for a springtime roadtrip now, m'kay?

Oh, I dunno--at this point, I'd kind of prefer the snow.
And in other news, just found out I "won" a Fluke volt/amp/resistance tester like the one you see below:

This week’s winner of the M&TE matters campaign is XXXXXXXXX. He identified that using different meggers can give different readings depending on the circuit impedance. He documented the testing results and will share lessons learned with the shop.
That's the SECOND one I've received in the last two months. The first was one I got in a safety booth drawing. Problem is, I've already got a (nicer) meter at home for personal use. So I basically sold them at well below the retail price (these go for about $100 apiece.) Hey, something's better than nothing.

Yes, ma'am. I'm also expecting an e-mail with new phone/addy info as soon as you get settled, please!

catching up on the crap I didn't done on vacation. Moving HVAC vents, moving door way (again), framing hearth and closet. I have no REAL life.

Rain to let up for the next four to five days. My Saturday will be spent helping my boyfriend fix his bathtub drain. He has a pier and beam, so we will be under the house. Yippideedoodah. It should be nice and swamplike under there right now.
Still a better alternative than work tho.

Rain has finally moved out, need to leave for a lecture shortly and have to go to the store to pick up some stuff for dinner, the house, etc.

Woot, woohoo, celebration time! It's Friday! Which means the week from hell in 1st grade is OVER! Woohoo!
And just found out the 2 older kids are gone for the evening, goign to a football game, so just one munchkin home tonight!

C. Rose, any yard you can mow qwith an electric lawnmower is small.....
Don't close w/o a C of O on the ENTIRE house with all additions!

What a lousy day. Showed up at work this morning and our link to Louisville was out and the Retailix system that runs every single Love's store in the country was down until late this afternoon, which meant that we had 20-30 calls on hold for over eight hours today. Call after call after call. Normally, the most I get involved with merchants is helpdesk and remote access to their POS systems. IF their system is down, we will process the transaction for them. Not today. Nothing BUT transaction calls. And its Friday, which means all of our customers are trying to settle up their accounts before the weekend. On top of the non-stop phones all day long, the starter on my car crapped out. So I'll have to find a new one and put it in before Monday morning.
****.
