I know that some of you read other boards

One has invited me to join and I am being open about it here because I want no misunderstanding.
I am and will always be a Progressive. I am the far left of the Democratic party. I am the base. But I am being called an "Obama Hater" by some on this board because I disagree with the health care bills now before Congress. I will still remain on DU because I think the Democratic party needs its base to keep its moral compass, and I know there are a lot of progressives on this board who are with me on this. I also know that there are some centrist partisans who are not, and that's ok.
I have recently posted on that other board, and for those of you who know where it is, you may feel free to look. I have nothing to hide. I am not an Obama hater, I am still a Democrat, and I am always a progressive.
And I still think the current healthcare bills are totally wrong headed. Here is what I see happening with the healthcare debacle:
blah blah snipped a buncha libber healthcare crap nobody cares about blah blah

We've had a lib antagonist of NikkiStone posting at CU for over a year now, but I don't think she herself has joined.

The question we must ask ourselves is not if Frank is angling for some left-slanted *****, but if Ms. NStone1 had big boobaliedoobaliez.

Well, despite that her politics are excresence, she is hot.
This is not to say women here aren't hot--but myself being a gentleman of probity and boundaries, if a woman is already committed to another man, no matter how good-looking she is, I have absolutely no interest in courting her.
And so one is left to survey what's left over.
As mentioned a couple of weeks ago, usually one is in pursuit of someone who has characteristics and talents one doesn't possess himself--such as the stammering Henry R. Luce winning the chatty and witty Clare Boothe Luce.
I'll bet she has a lot of the personal characteristics of Clare Boothe Luce, although the heart does ache for the temporarily-absent Gloria Swanson.

Well, what do you expect? The ancient DUmmy TLB, although an arrogant and hateful bitch, had coach totally beguiled, dreaming of her arid, dusty nether regions. But now she has apparently been permanently consigned to a fossil layer somewhere.
TLB caught his attention only because that treachereous soil scientist has apparently found someone with a bigger shovel to load her hog manure.
It's come down to a matter of any port in a storm, and one can only assume this Nikki DUmmy does at least offer some kind of port.

For the record, if anyone is nosy enough to read this, delilah is remarkable in her charm, her wit, her effervescence, her pulchtritude. I was very happy when delilah decided to come here, from our old home.
However, you're already taken by a gentleman who takes good care of you, and franksolich can't possibly match that.

Those are NOT bogus pics. They are both pics I found whilst hunting for Franklin's "Who"ochiemomma.

I'm guessing, based upon the portrait of herself that Clare Boothe Luce paints with her words: early or mid-30s, maybe about 5'8", size 3 dress, blonde, svelte and thin, long slender fingers, aquiline nose, light blue eyes, well-backgrounded and well-educated, and most importantly comes from money.

Any idea where nikki stone1 is from?
I believe the New York City area, if I remember correctly from when Clare Boothe Luce showed up at our old home.
It may sound preposterous, a chick from New York City and a guy from the Sandhills of Nebraska, but remember my own background. Even though I'm a 100% Nebraska product, the parents and the siblings were all New Yorkers, and so inevitably there's some "New York" in me.
I think it'd be a pretty good match.

More proof, if anyone needed it, that coach is the consummate gentleman. In this post, he describes his dream girl, with nary a mention of the anatomical details to which nearly all men, including consummate gentlemen, attach the highest priority. (Unless there is some obscure erotic definition of "well-backgrounded".)

I don't think that is what he meant. I am trying to read the tea-leaves but I believe he meant physical attributes. You did say size-3, so his statement is a bit confusing to me. Do you think he was talking about big feet or maybe big hair?

You know, I've noticed women don't get pregnant like they used to.
Nowadays some women are 8, 9, months along and one doesn't even notice it.
When I was a little lad, I used to notice that women 2, 3, months along had already acquired a front shelf onto which one could park a portable television set.
One wonders what's up with that.
-
Whoa.
You gained 79 pounds during pregnancy?
Yeah....we moved 6 wks before she was born so the ex could do a surgery rotation at the VA Hospital in Roanoke VA. I had nothing to do but sit around for 6 wks, eat and feel sorry for myself. There was a chocolate chip cookie factory on the way home from the doctor's office that I was going to 2x's a week. :uhsure:
I was back in my regular clothes at my 6wk checkup.
I gained 65 with my second one...but he was a couple of weeks early.
It took me 2 months to lose the weight that time.
I really didn't like being pregnant....I had to eat about every two hours or I would faint. It was quite annoying.
At least I didn't any stretch marks.
The reason you can't tell if women are pregnant as easily as it used to be is because early maternity clothes look so nice these days.
When I was pregnant with mine 28, 30 years ago....everything was ruffles, polkadots and plaids. All 3 of which should be illegal to use in the making of maternity clothes. :censored:
-
You know, I've noticed women don't get pregnant like they used to.
I'm pretty sure they are still getting pregnant the same way they always have.
Thank goodness.

Oh now, you know that as a moderator, I can do anything I want to do, with this thread.
I can, for example, shift it to a forum with less traffic.
I can, for another example, re-title it even though I'm not the original poster.
Or I can send the whole thing to the garbage bin.
However, not to fear; franksolich is a nice guy, one of the nicest guys one can hope to meet, and doesn't believe in tampering with history. What is written, is written.

Frank's current lust intrest, Nikki Stone, has this to say:

The "Public Option" has been a red herring all along, to divert you from the real issue: MANDATES
Advertisements [?]Edited on Thu Oct-29-09 07:20 PM by Nikki Stone1
I tried to say this before and was called an Obama hater--that didn't hurt my feelings at all, but it does show how difficult it is to get some people to face facts.
In my thread two days ago, I said that what we would get was a watered-down public option that would, most likely, be a fig leaf and pretty useless against the insurance companies and Big Pharma. That's looks like exactly what we are getting.
The key to this bill was MANDATES: Is it right to expect that everyone be required BY LAW to buy a faulty product from an insurance company just for the privilege of breathing in the US? Everyone said, "Oh we buy car insurance" but I pointed out in my thread here
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.ph...
I only have to buy liability in most states, and I can choose the car I want to insure: old or new, cheap or expensive, and have some control over what I pay. I can also choose to have no car at all.
BUT MANDATES FOR HEALTH INSURANCE ARE DIFFERENT.
The debate over the so-called public option has always been a red herring. Its purpose, night after night, on Rachel or Keith or other news shows, has been to shift the focus to a relatively unimportant part of the bill (at least as far as Congress was concerned, since they planned to tank whatever good it could do anyway) and to take our focus away from the big shock of MANDATES.
Remember, the first thing we all reacted to in the Baucus bill was the mandates. Suddenly, middle class people who are just over the line in terms of income but who are struggling nonetheless are being REQUIRED to add another big budget item BY LAW.
And yes, it's big budget. I went to the Massachusetts health care website and signed in as a family of 4 living in Boston with both parents in their late 30s and two kids, making 67,000 year. Here were my results.
All include prescription drugs.
Bronze plan: deductibles and co-pay necessary: $823.31 - $1,176.00/mo (PER MONTH, folks)
Silver plan: Moderate co-pay. Some deductible maybe. $1,037.65 - $1,690.00/mo
Gold Plan: Low co-pay. No deductible. $1,520.98 - $2,166.00/mo
(Edited to add: Take home pay for this family of four, taking out Federal Income Tax, is about $4000/month. They are required to spend 1/4 to 1/2 of that now on health insurance.)
So what will end up with, ladies and gentlemen, is a LAW that will require us to put aside $1,000-$2000 extra per month (on average) ASIDE for health care--edited to add: not health care, health INSURANCE. Health care costs are on top of that.
If you are making 66K with two kids and two parents and you live in a major metro area like Boston, do you have an extra 1 or 2 GRAND per month to give to the insurance companies?
Now, yes, there is a Commonwealth Care program for people under certain limits. If I make 65K with a spouse and 2 kids, I can apply for that. So far, I have been having a hard time actually figuring out how to navigate the online links. There are some places in MA which only have one company servicing these health needs. In general, though, the health plan is listed here
(If you can figure out how to get quotes for this, the zip code I used was 02116)
At any rate, the Baucus plan was always a giveaway to the insurance companies. The public option drew our focus AWAY from the travesty of mandates to a fight over something that was only going to be a fig leaf.
-
Is that true? Someone should check out the RomneyCare site and use her zip code, which she graciously provided and find out.
-
She's right. It's a huge chunk of change. People simply can't do that. What are these miserable creeps in congress thinking? DUmmies should join us in the streets.

Does Nikki's post above mean she's married with 2 kids? Or was she just being hypothetical? Ya know, she's not the most egregious person over there. She gets all passionate about some moonbat causes, like the music professors who are going to have to teach the instruments again after 20 years. But also serious ones, like sex traffiking.

If Frank wants a woman who thinks ,he may wake up in bed with Elinor Roosevelt or Gloria Stinenam.
Now, would he would be better off with Sally Rand or Barbara Bush. His choice.
If Frank could go back in time I pick Dolly Madison. Brave, courageous and a lusty broad.
Perhaps he could get an answer to, did the British actually burn up the books at the Library of Congress or were they hidden so [You Know Who ] could donate his library and pay off his debts.
Seems like every 50 years or so one of those priceless books that was though to have been lost turn up at auction somewhere in the world.

Vesta, I like you, seriously - So don't take this the wrong way. If there was ever a person alive who could perfectly represent what non sequitur means, it would be you. Seth MacFarlane should hire you as a writer for Family Guy.

There is no way on earth you would ever be able to explain the meaning of "non sequitur" to vestanumbers, even though vestanumbers IS a non sequitur.
I cannot see comments by vestanumbers unless someone quotes them. Thankfully, that rarely happens. Whenever it does, though, it reminds me of how grateful I am for the "ignore" option.

Whoa.
You gained 79 pounds during pregnancy?
LOL... I hit 200 pounds with each kid and I dropped the weight within 2 months of having each of my babies. I don't know, I guess I retained mega-water.
I am now 115 and I consider that my normal weight, though I feel best at 110.

Well since Gobucks will never see this post, what on earth is he talking about. I am French you know so I as all French Woman are to a point described as" non sequitur" in some fashion or other. What the heck even we French woman tend to confuse each other.
I hope Gobucks stays out of New Orleans, in the 1700 the most educated and desirable woman were the French mixed blood who were mistresses to men of wealth. They were the darling of Boston society, and took Europe by storm, it might break Gobucks heart to find out the French educated their woman. The wives of the men of wealth could barely read or write and were oh so conventional so proper and correct for that time.
The Mistresses could hold their own with any man on politics or world affairs, they demanded the best from those that desired them and were received with respect.
Give me a break, I will just bumble along knowing that my Heritage is from the culture that did not bent to convention.
Why is it I have a visual of Carol Bernet wearing a curtain rod as Scarlot and Harvey Corman as Rhett.?
Gobucks has no sence of adventure or a sense of humor.

I'm sorry but this post must be quoted for posterity and sheer quirky value. :lmao:

Seconded. :II:

Vesta, can you please post some naked pictures of yourself? I must know if you are hot.

I don't know if I should feel proud or embarrassed to have inspired that mess. I'm leaning strongly in the direction of humiliation.
It's another vestanumbers post that should serve as a warning to parents everywhere: If you ever drop your baby on its head, get immediate treatment.
-

I have a feeling she is "quirky" hot, just like me. :-)

I'd like to know the record for "most views without a sticky".
A naked picture of vestanumbers would surely put this one over the top.

vesta's okay; you can take my word on it.

Well now, I'm just trying to point out the good.
After all, this is another record-breaking month for conservativecave, and I want the trend to continue. One way that it continues is by handling each member here as if a beautiful but fragile and rare flower.

I'll concede "rare".

Now, I have no idea, no idea, what vesta actually looks like, but this is the self-portrait of herself that vesta "paints" with her words:
Circa late 30s, early 40s, small slender woman, good-looking, has endured some hard knocks in life and hasn't quite gotten back her equilibrium, but trying. Once vesta gets steadied, I have all the confidence that she's be a valuable contributor to this site, and won't be on anybody's "ignore" list.
It's a "growing" thing.

Really. I sorta imagined the crazy cat lady from The Simpsons, only with internet access.

There doesn't appear to be any similarities, none whatsoever, between our vesta on one hand, and the bitter old Vermontese cali primitive or the defrocked warped primitive or the Joanne98 primitive, on Skins's island.
Those, I consider crazy ladies of the axe-wielding type.

That is a very dignified looking cat in your Avatar

I agree. There are fundamental differences. While DUmmies cali and Joanne98 are far more articulate and coherent than vestanumbers, they're also vicious and deranged. Vestanumbers is simply addled to such an extent that it's a disability.

Most of the females on Skin's Island are vicious, vindictive and deranged.

come on, Frank...we need to change your code name to Franklin J "Horndawg" Solich.
"Negitive Horndawg, the pattern is full."

Well now, consider vesta as one considers the late Lucille Ball.
On television, the late Lucille Ball was a dingbat.
In real life, the late Lucille Ball was one very shrewd and smart woman.
It's possible--nay, probable--that most see only the first half of this, when it comes to vesta.
franksolich sees both halves.

I do believe that vesta is grinning as she pens her responses. There is an engaging quality about her and she is not in the least combative. I like her. She gets the Schadenfreude stamp of approval.... of course everyone around here does (except for utterly obnoxious and smug lefties who come here and tell us how smart they think they are).

There are both style and execution elements which are a part of my evaluation of you. You're not doing so bad kiddo. Yes, I am watching. :-)
Besides, I give extra points for Minnesota homies.

I haven't been called kiddo in... probably 25 years! I'm totally taking it as a compliment. :blowkiss:

You know, I've noticed women don't get pregnant like they used to.
Nowadays some women are 8, 9, months along and one doesn't even notice it.
When I was a little lad, I used to notice that women 2, 3, months along had already acquired a front shelf onto which one could park a portable television set.
One wonders what's up with that.
I suggest it is the changing trends in health care and the fads that come and go.
My 4 were all under 5 pounds at birth, I was encouraged to gain no more then 15 lbs.
There were ash trays in the doctors waiting rooms and after our once monthly doctors visit we who had met and became acquainted in the waiting room would head for the club to down a few beers.
For those of us who felt tired and out of sorts we were given some kind of [speed] to pep us up, one could tell if there was a Prego living in any place in Navy Housing, we were the woman waxing the drive way at 3 AM. So much energy , wow.
Today the pendelem has swung the other way, no smoking or drinking, as few medications as possible for the mother. Depending on bone structure, mothers are not faulted for gaining a few pounds, 7-8 pound baby's are healthier then a 4 ponder.
Clothing styles have changed, woman wear those awful T. shirts untucked just hanging there, hard to tell on some big boned woman, are they Prego or just sloppy looking. Does she have a beer belly or a baby under that shirt.?
Heres a back in time for you Frank, remember when it was not unusual to see a woman out shopping with curlers in their hair.?

Ya know, I have faith the Coach could turn a libby chick into a conservative in........oh, about 20 minutes.
After all, he won't have to listen to their BS!
-
I'm not sure what mess is going on here, but I do have to take exception to one of the things Vesta said. She said Gobucks has no sense of humor. Strongly disagree, he makes me laugh ALL THE TIME.
Allosaurus said what we were all thinking. At least Frank wouldn't have to listen to the commie chicks. :-)

I agree! that was totally uncalled for. Conservatives don't have to look at anything except the ecstasy in our partners eyes. Never had any complaints, and I doubt the Coach has either. Lol!
(ETA) As a matter of fact, I'm a little jealous of Frank, as they say one's other senses are nore acute when you are lacking one. Hmmmmmmm........he could have a real advantage!

I was out of town a few days and missed this thread as it sank beneath the waves.
Is coach canoodling with vestanumbers now, or is he still sniffing that strong DUmmy aroma?

While you were gone, Clare Boothe Luce got demoted to the Bella Abzug primitive.
I had an opportunity to check more comments, and was disheartened to see that the Nikki Stone1 primitive was not all I had thought her to be, thus her demotion.
Since all the conservative chicks are taken, and since Gloria Swanson remains MIA, I'm uncommitted again.

Yeah, pickings seem extraordinarily thin. Even UGP claims to be taken, although by a blue-haired gayboy. There is DUmmy Ladyhawke, of course. Crazy as a bat, and suicidal, she might fit the bill. A good candidate, since about the time you started to tire of her, she'd likely put her head in the oven.
Come to think of it, that's another argument in favor of gas ranges.

Interesting idea GoBucks, I could come up with a buntting board 12 inches high so Frank would not kick me in the Ass every 20 minutes.
But, what happens in the morning, both of us looking our worse, Frank has to get up, look at me and go pee or poop depending on how bad I look that day.
Then the big debate, who makes breakfast---who feeds the cats---
So at the end of a very uncomfortable day with both of us looking at each other out the corner of our eyes climb back in bed and install the bunting board.
Frank throws over on my side a report of Macedonian art work and I respond with ANSI rock paintings.
Thank heavens for the bunting board, without it we would be either punching out each others lights or laughing our Ass off.
