Just to show how absolutely nerdy I am.... thought we were talking about the programming language.

Thanks to all for your service *salutes*.

I was an engineer by schooling, so skipped COBOL (the business language) and went directly from Basic to Fortran. I spent 23 years in the aero defense industry... can you believe that?    :naughty:

I'm strictly a user when it comes to computers. I can change a modem or a motherboard and do some maitenance, but when it comes to languages like Cobol ot Fortran, I'm clueless. I leave that stuff to the experts. But if you need an M4 Carbine broken down, cleaned and reassembled, call me.  :cheersmate:

I went to PLDC with those crazy mofo'ers from 3rd Bat. Once even tried to run with the ones in my class one time. Didn't work out too well. The Rangers that weren't in "our" uniform, and not in PLDC, were running in full ruck.

As you know, the NCO Academy is in the back of post, close to 75th and right next to airborne school.

I took a class in C++ in college.  I actually enjoyed it :D

For me, programing was Greek. Like Cost Accounting. But I excelled at Maco Economics. I've always been a "Big Picture" sort, so I guess it was logical.

For some reason all this talk of programming brings back memories of TurboPascal and C++.

*shudder*

Pish posh.  My first program I ever wrote was to solve the Pythagorean Theorum in BASIC, and I saved it on a cassette tape.

My first ALBUM was on 8-TRACK.  I was trying not to go that far into the time machine.  Gets the young-uns all spooked.

The first car I had only had an AM radio, and I had a below dash mounted 8-track.

Showoff..... my first car had a vertical radio, with pushbuttons.  And cassette.

A few years ago my grandfather bought a new truck, than proceeded to have a stereo shop remove the new radio... and replaced it with an antique 8-track player.

I can actually say that for a brief time in my teens, I owned a 7" reel-to-reel.  Great sound quality, nearly as good as CD.  Sucked for portability.
