Oh goody......I am SO glad everyone in America has jobs and we have cleared off our deficit and now have 100 million to burn.....or rather to give to our enemies who will use it to create technology to destroy us.
This man is so anti-American words fail me. I don't think there is any question now that he is truly a Muslim at heart.
The White House Friday highlighted a new multi-million-dollar technology fund for Muslim nations, following a pledge made by President Barack Obama in his landmark speech to the Islamic world.
The White House said the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) had issued a call for proposals for the fund, which will provide financing of between 25 and 150 million dollars for selected projects and funds.
The Global Technology and Innovation Fund will "catalyze and facilitate private sector investments" throughout Asia, the Middle East and Africa, the White House said in a statement.
This just flat burns me up! :censored:

The White House Friday highlighted a new multi-million-dollar technology fund for Muslim Christian nations, following a pledge made by President Barack Obama in his landmark speech to the Islamic Christian world.
I can picture the exploding heads already...
Oh wait, that's right, not too many Christian nations need handouts from the very nation they hate with a passion. Funny, that. :whatever:

Maybe they will take those millions and find a way to transport themselves to the 21 century instead of being stuck in the 12th century.

Or at least learn how to sharpen a ****in' knife, so they're not sawing away when they come to cut our heads off in front of the camera.
:banghead:
on edit: I got $20 that says I know what kind of "technology" that 100 Million will be buying:

I think they'd rather straddle them both. On one hand, 21st century explosives are totally wicked. On the other, humping goats and cutting off women's clitorises is also loads of fun. I'm sure it's quite a predicament.

The Muslim world has trillions in oil money. They don't need our money, they need someone to sell them specific technology and equipment.
Eligible projects would advance economic opportunity and create jobs in areas like technology, education, telecoms, media, business services and clean technology, the White House said.
OPIC said sample projects could help foster the development of new computer technology or telecommunications businesses, or widen access to broadband Internet services....
The only thing stopping their development in these areas are their oppressive leaders and bizarre cultural rules.
This is jizyah.

And much of that oil money came from the US, since the left refuses to allow for more drilling in the US.

1) Why are we spending tax dollars to support a particular religion?
2) Why are we spending tax dollars to support a particular religion in foreign countries?
3) Why are we spending tax dollars to support a particular religion in foreign countries that subjugate dhimmis and women?
4) Don't these muslims make enough money with their oil to support their own projects?

President Bush did push for funds to be available to Christian charities, so it is only fair that 0Bama pushes for funds to go to ..... :uhsure:

1. OPIC uses PRIVATE MONEY invested by PRIVATE COMPANIES worldwide in developing countries.
2. See above.
3. See above.
4. A lot of this money is going to developing countries, like Iraq. A project already done by them this year was a 50 million dollar investment into a Hotel in Baghdad. Would you prefer our companies didn't invest in helping places like Iraq develop into something other then 3rd world countries?
-
Could they not invest here? Does Iraq not have $$$ of their own to invest in their own country?
If they want to invest in 3rd world countries, shouldn't they pick countries with little or no money to invest themselves? I would venture that private investments in Iraq have the same widespread corruption as the Fed $$$ we spent there.

Baghdad car bombs near government offices kill 136
By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA (AP) – 50 minutes ago
BAGHDAD, Iraq — Two suicide car bombs exploded in downtown Baghdad Sunday, killing at least 136 people and delivering a powerful blow to the heart of the fragile city's government in the worst attack of the year, officials said.
While violence has dropped dramatically in the country since the height of the sectarian tensions, such bombings like Sunday's demonstrate the precarious nature of the security gains and the insurgency's abilities to still pull off devastating attacks in the center of what is supposed to be one of Baghdad's most secure areas.
At least 25 staff members of the Baghdad Provincial Council, which runs the city, were killed in the bombing, said council member Mohammed al-Rubaiey.
Sunday's explosions also injured nearly 600 people who were taken to six area hospitals. Medical officials, speaking on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media, gave the death toll.
The area where the blasts occurred is just a few hundred yards from the Green Zone that houses the U.S. Embassy as well as the prime minister's offices. The street where the blasts occurred had just been reopened to vehicle traffic a few months ago, in what was supposed to be a sign that safety was returning to the once devastated city.

The Green Zone is where they're builing the hotels.
