A little math
The President (rounding a bit here)

9 Months @ 30days/month = 270 days

6480 Hours

8 Hours sleep + 1 hour (prep for bed, shower, dressing, eating)

= 4050 hours left to work on issues, meeting with dignitaries, giving out awards, etc.

Throw in media time, foreign issues, meetings with staff, time with family.

Just not enough time for any one person to do so.

That is why we have DU

3. Good post! Good and fair analysis
So, now we have the proof that our President is not indifferent to such issues as gay rights. . .he just is swamped by URGENT business, like health care reform, so it won't fail.

And health reform would benefit all of us, including the gay community. I am certain that President Obama will address the gay rights before the end of his 4 years term. . .just in case he doesn't get re-elected. But. . .give him a break!

Depends on what one is trying to do. Given what's happened so far, Dear Leader has only created more problems for the average citizen to have to deal. In fact, the less time he spends doing what he wants to do as prez, the better the country will be.

Here's hoping he soon has all the time he wants to be quiet and do absolutely nothing, which is where his potential is best realized. :cheersmate:

Why we have the Congress, and all the other executive branch departments and agencies, as well as state and local governments.

And yet Teh Boooosh was personally responsible for everything from hijackers getting past airport security to levees breaking to political activists dying from pancreatic cancer.

Surely the godlike Obamessiah is as powerful and omniscient as the bush-demon?
