OK, this site lists all the haunted places in America state by state. Some of them are pretty cool.
This site will make you want to get the gang, some flashlights and go all Scooby Doo.
I wanted to start a thread where we all copied and pasted a haunted place from our state, BUT I'm unable to do so. Wah. The site won't let you copy anything.
anyhow its a cool site. There is a cemetery somewhere in Iowa that has singing little girls. They were orphans in a railroad car that caught on fire. Whats all spooky is their song: "Ring around the rosy, come burn with me..."
This is NOT a site I read at night! No siree! Only when the sun is out.
So when its safe, look up your state or town...and if you feel like it, give us a summary of you fave haunted place.
--just to let you know, the site apparently doesn't offer a spell checker and not all the entries are written by someone with English as a first language...but its still spooky fun!

Ghosts don't exist. I'm still going to check out the website, but I'm just saying that ghost stuff doesn't scare me because they don't exist.

I believe in ghosts/spirits more than I believe in UFO's.

Hehe... ruh roh! :evillaugh:

Cincy sure has it's share and I've been to a number of the "haunted" places in my few years here.
Cincinnati Zoo ghost might be my favorite on the list at the link. A ghost lioness... cool. :panic:

That's cool. Minnesota was full of creepy axe murderers. I guess we are too close to Wisconsin. :-)

I believe in angels and demons but neither ghosts or UFOs.

Duluth - University of Minnesota Duluth - Griggs Hall S - On the first floor in the bathroom two presences haunts one of the toilets. The first year after the building was opened two students died in the bathroom of alcohol poisoning. Sounds of puking are often heard. And moaning. And profanity. And a smelly stench.
Uh-huh.

Heh. A lot of the Cincy ghost (or ghost reporters) seem to be janitors and security guards and suchlike. (people who work alone in big dark creepy buildings) :uhsure:

I don't think the Scooby Doo definition of ghosts exists either, but I know something exists that leads people to think ghosts are real. I had my doubts removed years ago. I know something real is playing the part.
You know me, too. I am no airhead who would say these things with reservations.

When I checked the list for Nebraska, I was surprised to see an ancient building on the campus of Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln listed, where ostensibly a "ghost" is heard "playing" an organ.
This confirms something I had learned in, of all places, Edinburgh, Scotland, when two utterly sane and rational Scots described it to me, they having themselves seen and heard the phenomenon back in Nebraska.
Well, whatever.
Reality is Infinite, while the human cerebral capacity to understand is finite.
The only Final, Ultimate, Undeniable Truth is God; all else is the whimsy of limited human imagination and limited human observation.....and that includes those things involving "scientific" examination and scrutiny.

Wisconsin is teeming with werewolves. Or wolfen. Or something wolf-like. That's why the price of silver is through the roof here.

Shivers... that just gives me the willies. Do you suppose they'd come as far as Hudson and cross over the border? :evillaugh:

They are kept at bay by all the werecougars. :p

I always figured the old state hospital in Traverse City would be "haunted".

Or so we would like to think. :lmao:
-
Probably made them take out the trash or mop the kitchen floor.

I have been to some of those places in OK. That Old Logan County Hospital...well...there is reason it's location isn't listed anymore.

The Cocoa Village Playhouse is one I didn't know about along with the couple over in Merritt Island. The one in Rockledge at Ashleys restaurant has been in a couple of books and is one of the better known hauntings. The lo-cal paper was doing a story on the place and supposedly got a picture of one of the ghosts on the stairs.

I'm waiting for the butt head that lives here to leave. At least whatever "it" is it doesnt bother me too often . "It" mostly likes to show off when I have company.. Not so much when that chat is of boating on my lake.

I don't talk about it as I've no wish to be ridiculed or pitied, but I have no doubt about what I've experienced. Oh, I have fun at haunted houses around Halloween and such, but I'm referring to something totally different.
Edit to say that there was nothing in the least bit frightening in what I experienced.

I sometimes think our last dog is still hanging around the house.
