Do you remember the good will and extended offers of cooperation we got after 9/11, the good will that Bush squandered? Well we are going to see it again on January 20, 2009. It will not last long unless we make good use of it but if our next President plays their cards right we can quickly regain what respect we had world wide - maybe even earn some.

This is our chance and if we do not make good use of it I'm afraid the world will stop turning the blind eye to what we do and turn actively against us.

1. that might be the best thing for us.

If we prove to be not making much of a change by electing a democrat or McCain manages to get in then we should be put down like the last fascist empire that arose.

It's hard to fathom going through life with so much anger and an absolute hatred for your country. I'm sure if we were ever invaded most of the dummies would welcome them with open arms.

Of course. The only way they would like this country is if it were stalinist.

Unless they're of the brand that view Stalin as a little too 'right of center' for their tastes.

Yeah. They were "with us" right up to the point that we decided to, you know, actually do something about it.

It's easy to put on a show of sympathy for the Big Guy when he gets his nose bloodied, even though, secretly, those who hated and were envious of his strength were glad he got taken down a peg. Once he starts fighting back though, all bets are off.

And of course, we lost some "friends" when going into Iraq tore up the sweet little honeypot some people had going with the Oil-For-Food program.

Traitors from the first.

They never supported us they only pretend to have done so to claim we "squandered" what they never gave us.

Damn, the primitives are so high-schoolish.

What's this deal about "earning" the "respect" of the world?

That doesn't happen, that's never happened, in the history of the world.

Nations, societies, and people have interests, not respect.

What the Germans think about America, what Lord Marblehead EarlG thinks about America, what the Senegalese think about America, what the Japanese think about America, is irrelevant.

**** what the Norwegians think, for example.

The Norwegians don't care if America respects them, so why are we obligated to care whether or not the Norwegians respect us?

This is not to say nations shouldn't try to get along.....but it is to say that nations, societies, and people have their own interests in mind, when trying to get along.

What Fat Che, being an American, thinks about America, is worth more than the combined opinion of all the non-Americans in the whole world.

The lilliputian tom thumb primitive is just a pudgy little wishy-washy fuddy-duddy.  I think he's trying to get on the Top Ten Primitives of 2008, but it's not going to work.
