As we all know, conservativecave is flourishing and thriving; but on the other hand, conservativecave is no behemoth like freerepublic, and so our effect on the primitives of Skins's island is still pretty minimal.
However, the past few months, I've noticed a most curious trend among the primitives; it almost seems as if the primitives--with the exceptions of Pedro Picasso, the maudlin waif primitive, and the defrocked warped primitive--want to be featured here.
Even though we're still only a little tiny minuscule web-site.
I've noticed that, at least among my primitives, after one of them has been a "star" here, the particular primitive, who might have posted only irregularly before, suddenly is posting a great deal more. And then drops off after it's become obvious franksolich isn't taking the bait.
I dunno what to think about this phenomenon.
On one hand, honest effort--auditioning to be featured here--needs rewarded.
But on the other hand, I'd just as soon publicize the primitives who DON'T want to show up here.
It's a mixed bag; anybody feel one way or the other about the issue?

Actually, I hope CC doesn't become like FR. I prefer to have a close knit community. When a site becomes too big the voices and personalities of the individual become lost. Too many cooks can spoil the stew.

Coach, my fellow Nebraskan, which primitive are you referring to?

It could be any one of my primitives, with the exception of Doug's really stupid ex-wife, who's glued to the computer.
They used to be daily posters on Skins's island, but ever since I started observing--and quoting--them, now they're much more sporadic.
Pedro Picasso's a good example, and the maudlin waif primitive, and most recently, Gloria Swanson.
I suspect some primitives just aren't grateful for the chance to shine.
