Pumpkin shortage threatens Halloween fun

 :ohnoes: :overreaction:

Quote
CENTREVILLE, Va. | When children leave Cox Farms and other pumpkin patches across the nation this fall, they may go home with a gourd instead of the traditional orange pumpkin.

That's because Cox Farms, which hosts one of the Washington area's largest fall festivals this month, is looking at a pumpkin shortage.

Congress needs to act, and act now to protect my right to a punkin' each Halloween.  If  we had single payer punkin' producers (SP3) this would never happen, and all the poor folks would have punkin's too.

The stores here have plenty of them, but the prices are higher than in the past.  My wife will put a lighted ceramic one in the window, as she has done in the past.
