A confederate flag license plate for Florida???

At present, FL has more that 60 license plates and you can select any one you want.
However, some dinosaur state congressman from a "Deliverance" district of the state wants one more. He wants to add a confederate flag license plate to our array of "plates that make a statement."
Given that our Governor, Charlie Christ, is on the short list of possible VPs to run with McCain, who knows what will happen?
The particular idiot sponsoring this plate is calling it a "Southern Heritage" license plate. Where have we heard that shit before? Normal human beings call it a symbol of racism.
I doubt whether it will ever come about, but who knows? After all, we're talking about Florida -- the state that prevented President Gore from taking office in 2000.
As Michael Corleone said in "Godfather III," "Every time I think I've gotten out, they pull me back in." Hopefully, one moron won't succeed in pulling us back into the past.

3. The symbol is purely unpatriotic.
To embrace the division of the country.

7. Should Have Bonnie Blue Flag
if anything, we whould have a Bonnie Blue Flag license plate before a Confederate Battle Flag plate.
It's use pre-dates the Civil War, so it is more a "heritage" flag than the other, and it stands for independence without the tint of racism.

12. Southern heritage? In Florida?
How many people living in Florida today had ancestors that lived there in 1860s? In fact, how many had parents or grandparents that lived there? I though Florida was where aging Yankess went to live when they decided they couldn't stand another winter in Minnesota (or New York, Wisconsin, the Dakotas, all of Canda, etc)

13. That's southern FL. Northern FL is an extension of Alabama and rural Georgia.

Not that the DUchebags are prejudiced or anything.

Oh my.
I looked all over for Oscar Wilde, the large-proboscised "Cyrano," on Skins's island today, and didn't see him.

Actually, I believe Tennessee was the state that prevented Gore from taking office. You know, his home state. The state where the folks should know him the best. The state that he could not win.

Where DO they get their information?
When the primitives are done sitting on the commode, they carefully analyze the contents, like others read tea-leaves, before they flush.
That's where the primitives get their information.
