I suffer greatly from insomnia...probably why I post a lot
doc has mentioned that there are sleep aids that could help
but they scare me
I have to get up at 5:30 and I try to go to bed by 10:30 thinking I will get good rest
but I usually watch the clock
you know that commerical
I have resisted becuase I worry I won't wake up on time
what are your experiences
Reading between the lines. The Dr. has cut off my script. I can't get any more narcotics.

7. A lot of people are into pharmaceutical drugs,
but I'm not one of them.
I like wine, work hard, and sleep like a bat.
Reads GB like a book.
After several OTC remedies, GB takes a powder. The people don't understand, GB wants hard drugs, not sissy stuff.

Ah, insomnia from hydrocodone withdrawls...her brain is begging for a large serotonin release.

I take a melatonin and my magnesium supplement at night and I almost feel drugged about 30 minutes later.

Within a few days, she'll come down with flu like symptoms. Chills and fever.

But on the flip side, night-time cold medicines make me jittery and keep me awake.

Probably stealing their Ritalin, crushing and snorting it.
No wonder she can't sleep.

After my father passed away, I took his very large bottle of Temazepam home with me. (I let my older brothers fight over his stash of Viagra. lol) They work great for those times when you really have to sleep, but for one reason or another, can't. They don't knock you out, just let you fall asleep, and you don't wake up woozy. In the seven years I've had the bottle, I think I have taken four or five of them.

My problem is not going to sleep, it's staying asleep. Every since I was a little kid I've gone to bed early and gotten up early. Now that I could stay in the bed to ....whatever time....I'm still awake by 4 am.....every day of the week.
-
I've always been a night owl, which was ok when I worked thirds. Now I can't sleep longer than 4 hours, but I'm a master of the power nap.

Sounds a lot like me....
