Title: Need help shopping!
Post by: ReardenSteel on October 10, 2009, 01:49:19 PM
Anyone know where I can get a nice suit in a short time. (likely needing same day alterations) I'd like to spend, I guess, around $300 or so and not look like I spent $100, lol. (I'm good on belts, ties and shoes so none of the extra cost should be a factor)

I have a funeral Monday and a Viewing tomorrow and they are out of State affairs. Also just found out my only black suit does not fit anymore.

Men's Wearhouse is pretty good. Jos A Banks is having a sale on suits right now, too. You might look up the nearest one. ($199)

Not had the best luck with Men's Wearhouse though they have some good stuff. Never been to jos A Banks but I think I'll give em a go. There are a bunch in Cincy and the cost looks great there. (no offense if your looking down on me grandma)

Thanks Thor

In my experience, Penneys suits usually don't last long.  Take that into consideration.

For those prices and the frequency with which I wear suits I may have to check em out sometime.

Well, I'm off to JAB, thanks for the tips everyone!  :cheersmate:

Get a Ralph Lauren suit.  They last forever and they don't look dated for years and years.  They are always on sale too.  You can get one for under $300 I am sure.  I always get hubby his suits at Macy's or Penneys.  He is a really big guy and it is hard to find suits in his size.
