Oh my.

There was one thing very surprising about this bonfire.

Who should be the Senate Majority Leader?

Harry Reid, in my opinion, is a spineless waste of a Senate seat.

These are my candidates

John Kerry
Jim Webb
Russ Feingold
Sherrod Brown
Maria Cantwell
Barbara Boxer
Barbara Mikulski
Richard Drubin
Jack Reed
Sheldon Whitehouse

Any others to add to the list? This is who we want the Majority Leader to be.

3. ..Seriously?

I really hope you're joking and that I'm not detecting the sarcasm in your post.

14. Seriously. No sarcasm. I've always liked and admired Harry.

16. I think you're in the minority on this one

But you're entitled to your opinion, as is everyone.

20. Oh I know it, but that's okay. I know what I like.

I agree with the lamp-shade primitive; Harry Reid is the best the Democrats in the U.S. Senate have to offer, and one can't find anyone better than the best of who's out there.

8. Harry Reid, because he was elected as such just a few months ago by the Senate Democrats.

17. Me too. He's been called a brilliant parliamentarian and that's the reason he was chosen for the job

Many primitives offer their own choices, which are from the list offered by the primitive who lit this bonfire.

But the surprise?--none of the primitives mentioned Jr. from Vermont.

I think that's the first time that's happened; many primitives have suggested Jr. from Vermont in the past, despite that Jr. from Vermont has no, but no, leadership skills.

lol.

The GOP has already won Albuquerque, City Council and Mayor. Thats a city that went arounf 60% for Obama.

The swing could be very big.

No votes for Charlie "Blame Whitey" Rangel?

I'm disappointed.

Charlie Rangel got off the hook, the House voted down a move to remove him from the Ways N Means Cmte

And the NRCC is going to use Rangel to get Dem House members defeated next year.  I've heard that there's a movement in NY Dem circles to get Rangel to not run for re-election, and get David Paterson to take his seat in the House.  That allows Andrew Cuomo to run for Governor, Paterson to get shuffled into a spot where he really can't do any damage to the NY Dem Party, but it keeps Paterson in a spot where he can have some influence.
