Title: Will Rogers
Post by: franksolich on October 07, 2009, 06:59:52 AM
I just got done reading Will Rogers: His Life and Times (Richard Ketchum, 1973, American Heritage Publishing Co.); it's one of those books I found in a 50-cent bin at a bookstore in the big city.

You know, if anybody here resembles Will Rogers's type of wit and humor, it has to be JohnnyReb.  It's remarkable, the similarities between the two.

All in all, it was a good book, with lots of pages of examples of the Will Rogers quotes.

But I cried at the ending when the airplane crashed.

I always found it unnerving that the two airports in OKC are named after two men that died in the same plane crash.
