They STILL think that war is ****ing glorious, some people.
At least according to the commercial I just saw for the video game "An Army of Two."
I have $100 that says NOBODY on that game's development team (or marketers) has ever been shot at.
I'll bet the bird-smacking stoned red-faced primitive doesn't, really, have a hundred bucks.

5. Boys have always played shoot up games.
Although I did not allow toy guns in my home, my boys used anything and everything to shoot at each other and anyone else around.
Didn't you do it?
It seems to be an innate impulse.

Some innate impulses are better left discouraged. Man has plenty of caveman left in him still. Some skills and instincts are better left "undeveloped".

I had this discussion yesterday about some missile testing that is going on around here.
I hate war. I hate violence. I hate the military, I hate weapons.
But, then again, if there really is evil in the world, do you really want to completely unprepared to confront it?

But there is a difference between the caveman's desire to rape women and murder people on sight, versus and the very good instinct for personal and family preservation.
It is an evil dangerous world and the rational, not the primitive mind, is best suited to deal with it.
The rational mind deals with real threats in a logical way. Being an advance human does not in any way preclude self defense and self preservation.
But it certainly does lead to an interesting discussion.

And to tell the truth, they are fun... if archaic.
When we play wargames, yes we do... we sometimes stop and look our teen opponent in the eye who is going Oh YEAH I KILLED THEM
Realize that tank you killed, it had a crew of five... the company you killed had twelve tanks, you do the math of how many people would not be going home.
Usually that brings back a sense of seriousness... and yes, sand table games are used to train soldiers, and so are video games.
Then again, I can tell the difference, and know a fantasy such as Turok, and an Army of Two are just that... a fantasy... far from reality as you can ever get.

That entire statement identifies you as an idiot.
There is evil in the world,it manifested itself on 9/11 and many times before while a President who also "loathed" the military at a point in his life sat by for the most part refusing to deal with that evil.
Oh and btw that evil got its start while another President was sitting in a sweater telling us that are best days were behind us.
You dumbfu(ks gut our defense budget and look away every time a dem is President.
Eventually the adults have to fix it at some point to keep your sorry behinds safe and still keep our national economy growing.
You should be on your knees in gratitude but it is sooooooo much nicer in your pathetic selfish minds to do nothing but bitch.

So since when do you have to have been in the Military to be shot at before? I've been several times.
DUmmie's never seen any news shows where some hood rats are standing around showing off their scars from drive by's they've survived. They weren't Military by any stretch of the imagination either.

I agree with you.. BUT until the Islamo Fascists stop being primitives and wanting to cut off my head, I'm hoping our military keeps doing its thing.
I dont love war, I dont find it "glorious" .. but I am not going to sit idly by, waiting for me and mine to be slaughtered.
