If by any reason that Public Option does not pass - then Obama has to keep his promise and announce that he will not run for re-election. Remember Obama has staked his entire administration on that promise alone.

Assume this is the worst-case scenario to happen.

Then I would start a draft Governor Howard B. Dean for the 2012 Democratic primary.

Then he'll promise us what Obama failed to do.

That's the Universal Health Care, not INSURANCE. CARE.

CARE IS WHAT WE NEED.

And Dr. Dean needs to bring in the progressives to remove ALL (or most) of the Blue Dogs that does NOT belong in the Democratic Party. They are nothing but TRAITORS to the American people.

Ms. Ed, the unappellated eohippus, who didn't like Bo to begin with:

1. Absolutely correct.

The one thing though...is Obama may not be walking the line, he is attempting to straddle it.

Dangerous game.

4. Sorry . . .

. . . Obama never did promise a "public option." He promised Universal Health Care, though. Unfortunately, whatever is passed will be called Universal Health Care, because he and the Dems will claim that everybody has access to it (if they have the money). So Obama's left himself wiggle room. And he's a politician. He will wiggle.

10. You ARE aware that we have a 3-part government,

Executive, Legislative and Judiciary?

They are making a very large assumption that even IF this wretched healthcare bill succeeds that there will be a second Obama term.

Keep thinking that way DUmmies. :whatever:

I can't wait to see the hystronics they go into after the mid terms.

Keep thinking that way DUmmies.

It's fascinating, the way the primitives are.

The primitives actually think they're a majority, or at least a substantial plurality, among the general public.

It's sort of like franksolich imagining everyone else is deaf, too.

Frank it's the result of propaganda that's spewed at them from the MSm every single day.  They hear it from their tv and radio...only go to websites where they hear their friends saying the exact same thing and the fantasy becomes their reality.

Which is why they run like a Vampire from Holy Water anytime Fox News is on the TV...Rush Limbaugh is on the radio or someone who's not an ultra-Leftist/Statist like themselves tries to debate them.  Their brain isn't wired to accept much less consider any point of view outside the one that's reinforced in their head every single day in the media.

They've really got to cut out these promises of defecting from the Dem nominee if they don't get what they want.  They're going to do what they've been told to do and they're not kidding anyone with this faux-outrage.

The best thing that could happen would be for all the blue dog democrats to lose primary elections
to socialist candidates the DUmp would like.

No socialist candidate would defeat a Republican in a blue dog state.

The only way blue dogs win their general elections is to deceive people into believing they aren't
really democrats.

Without the blue dogs, there would never be a democrat majority in the Senate.

I see it going down this way if they pass this. They win this one and we win the next 8 years.

More than that.  The Republicans would bring this back up for the next 40 years or so.
