There was a documentary of Jim Jones on the tv recently which showed a lot of the background to the massacre rather than just concentrating on Jonestown itself, this video has the same creepy vibe, I worry about these people.

I saw this earlier, but I didn't post it because I wasn't entirely sure they were saying "O God" instead of "Obama". It could go either way, and I've seen posts on sites like Breitbart to that effect. Although it does sound like "Obama" in a few spots (mostly in the first half).

A number of black churches no longer venerate the true God. In place of the Holy Trinity they worship Govt, Civil Rights, and the concept of, "I am owed."

My tuition is already 20K / yr and my parents have to fork that over since i dont qualify for financial aid, y cant we have college as part of the public education system... sorry just venting now... I shouldnt have to drop out of school to pay for health insurance that is ridiculous, luckily my parents will probably pay for it but what if my parents didnt have money if i got sick i would be sh*t out of luck thats my point.

4.6% unemployment, record revenue coming into the fed from taxes, millions upon millions of jobs created due to tax cuts, the DOW rising above 14,000. All this after 2 wars were started, 9/11, corporate scandal, and the busting I.T. industry. The Damn economy didn't start tanking until October of '07, 9 months AFTER the Damn Dimbulbs took over Congress. The 2006 Congressional election was on the war, which we're still in, not the economy, which was running great.
You're a f'n mind-numb idiot who should demand the return of his money from his institute of higher learning because either A) you are incapable of independent thought and learning or B) you're being brainwashed.

Not too long ago I was in your situation. About to graduate, soon to be off the rents insurance. I purchased a catastrophic insurance policy through BCBS and ponied up the cash for any doctor visits I needed. Fortunately, being young and all, those were few and far between. My insurance policy was $96 and some change monthly.
This begs the question, why are you stamping your feet and crying that it's "just not right" if you don't have health insurance? How is it wrong? Who's fault is it? Who is responsible for that reality?

Meaning the government cannot deprive you of any of those things without due cause.
The government may not kill you or obstruct you in your pursuit of happiness. If not being sick is equivalent to you being happy, you're welcome to purchase all the health care and health insurance you desire. No one can stop you from that, except for yourself.

Me too.
Can you answer a few questions for me? I am a bit older than you, and am now experiencing a generation gap. Many of today's youth baffle me so much.
1. Why do you feel so strongly that the government is here to give you everything, and should give you everything?
2. Why are you going to school? Are you going to school to learn skills to have a job? And if so, why do you want a job? Are you prepared to give away most of your hard-earned money to support people who choose not to work, because the government should take care of them?
On another note, once you turn whatever age you do to lose your insurance, you are already automatically offered the opportunity to continue it through COBRA, for a period of 36 months. By then, you should be graduated and have a job, which will also offer you the opportunity to cover yourself on health insurance.

The power it takes to run a university isn't coming from a power company where people are working for free. The security guards aren't working for free. So, who's going to pay for all that? Me? Why should I give a rat's ass if you get an education? What about the people who don't meet the requirements to attend college. Should they be forced to pay for your sorry ass to attend college, even though they can't?

Schools want the best and the brightest. They have every right to be selective. There's plenty of demand and more than enough "room" i.e. schools for people to attend.

Where in the U.S. Constitution are the executive and legislative branches of the government given the power to control people's health care? We seem to have lost the point of the Constitution and the purpose of government in this day and age. Government is not there to provide us with everything we ask for. Government is not there to care for us. Government is not there to create "rights" out of whole cloth. Government is specifically prohibited from infringing on the pre-existing rights of the people.

A college kid can stay on their parents health insurance until 24 as long as the kid stays in school. We each had a kid on our insurance until then, and I have a friend...who has her kid on hers and he's 23.
LiteBrite doesn't qualify for tuition assistance, or financial aid.....because HER DADDY'S A TRIAL LAWYER!!
Gee kid....if Daddy won't pay your for your college...do what many of us have done....we paid for it ourselves!!!
I wonder if she has any concept of how much money Daddy pays in taxes? Bet he's not wanting to pay any more than he already does and would prefer to keep it for himself.

You do realize that there is a maximum charitable deduction, don't you? You father pays a ton in taxes if he is a Partner of a law firm, unless he is committing major tax fraud, which I would not suggest that you advertise.
You may or may not be smart, but the way you are writing makes you look like an idiot. If you are actually in college, then you should know how to type properly, and typing fast with typos doesn't count in the real world. Your posts make you look like lazy kid. A conservative man sent his liberal daughter to college. At the end of the first semester, she came home and said she was so mentally exhausted from the hard work of earning her 4.0 GPA. Her father told her it was worth it to get that result. Get up about 3 am. one Friday, Saturday or Sunday morning and follow me around town. I'll show you the disadvantaged party animals you liberals claim to worry so much about.
Getting up early and getting ready to start my day early is a life long habit that I can't seem to break. Even now that I have absolutely nothing to do, I still get an early start at it. I doubt Atruevoice has ever gotten up early enough to watch the sunrise. She may have been out late enough to see it but never up early.

My Father is a partner and most of what he buys is a compnay expense so therefore its a write off and like when he makes a donation to anything its a write off so he is charitable, im not worrying about my grammar and spelling because its unimportant, i type quick, i can spell and I am smart.

I'm beginning to see from your posts a clearer picture of you. Your from a rich family...you've been given everything your whole life...and now that you've reached adulthood...your folks are telling you that you are going to have to get out and not only get a job...but make your own money,
And in college you've found a group of like minded idiots that believe like you do that everything should be given to you and that it's "unfair" that the "evil right"...in your case your parents have all this wealth (earned by working VERY hard) and you don't.

I've read the "posts" from our little princess here - at least those that I could actually make some sense of. (She's not what I'd call a convincing, clear, and coherent writer.)
What I'm seeing in our little princess, in addition to those observations by TRG, is classic immaturity. This is the kind of immaturity that is supposed to be largely gone by age 22 or so (at least in girls, or so I'm told) mostly because those girls have had to make something of themselves by that point.
Little Princess, aka 'atruevoice' (even that moniker is ridiculous since everything she spouts is a lie vis a vis politics) hasn't had to do anything in her so-called adult life other than wipe her butt and maybe show up for class once in a while.
Since Daddy's paying all the bills, that leaves lots of time for Little Princess to immerse herself in the prevailing political winds that swirl around her, much like a toilet swirls as it's taking its contents to other places.
In other words, Little Princess is certainly passionate - in much the same manner as the Jonestown people were passionate about Jim Jones - just before they drank the cyanide-laced Kool-Aid.
Little Princess, you have a lot of growing up to do. You've been getting some very sage advice on this board. You'd be wise to take a few lumps here, learn from the experience, and come back after you've grown up at least a little.

I graduated college less than 5 months after turning 21.
Got married 5 months after I turned 24.....and not to someone I knew in college.

I went to the school of life instead and married young but I believe I have more knowledge than the pampered princess will get from her college education.

Most of us, of a certain age, had more experience while still in high school than the pampered princess will have from her college education.
I would venture that not many of us had rich daddies....or even if there are some that did, they were still taught that good things come to those who work hard for them....
