Drudge has sunk to a new low.
His latest headline: OLYMPIC SPIRIT: VIDEO SHOWS BRUTAL GANG MURDER IN CHICAGO
He is so petty and grasping for straws against President Obama it's disgusting. He combines two totally un-related things. All he wants to do is attack Obama for doing things anyone would do, like supporting a U.S. Olympic bid. The timing of Drudge putting this headline up, as soon as Obama announced he will fly to meet with the IOC to lobby for Chicago, is no coincidence.
Every city on the Olympic list is big and I assume they have gang-related crime too. Drudge is such a nasty, bitter instigator. I can't put into words my disdain.

4. Xactly. Stop giving the freeper sites traffic. My guess is that close to half of their traffic is dems/libs/progressives curious about what new and disgusting brand of hate they are spewing now. Kind of like rubber necking and staring at a car wreck.
My suggestion is pass on by without giving them any traffic.
The old meme of 'know your enemy' does not hold up. We know that the internet model is based on traffic. Deprive them of that and their internet presence will be diminished.

One big change I've noticed in recent years here on DU is how irrelevant Sludge has become. His sirens no longer raise the hairs on our backs...if anything, he's become not just a joke but a parody for what was once the Mighty Wurlitzer.
