The Army grants the officer's resignation under "other than honorable conditions."
First Lt. Ehren Watada, the first commissioned military officer to refuse deployment to Iraq
because he believed it was an illegal war, has won his three-year legal battle with the Army.
With little fanfare the Army at Fort Lewis, Wash., accepted the resignation of the 1996 Kalani
High School graduate, and he will be discharged the first week in October.
Rather than seek a second court-martial against the artillery officer, the Army will grant Watada
a discharge under "other than honorable conditions."

I don't know. The only question in my mind was whether this scumbag should be in jail for
desertion, or for treason.
This really is a victory for deserters and traitors, because it shows that all they have to fear
is the same type of discharge that allowed the ketchup gigolo to run for president.
Honor, duty, patriotism, oaths, valor, none of that silly rethug stuff carries any weight in the jug-eared
muslim's administration.
He's preparing to welcome openly flaming faggots into uniform, so a small thing like refusal to
deploy doesn't amount to much.

Perfect to whom? Even in this day and age when he fills out an employment form he has to list having served in the Military and what kind of discharge he got.
His name is too recognizeable...if he tries to lie he'll get busted.
And despite what the left might have you think...there are still a lot of employers that would turn down someone who applied for a job and listed anything less than an Honorable Discharge from the military.
In the part of America that the let tries to pretend doesn't exist...character still counts for something.
And this asshat Watada is seriously lacking in that department.

So they already convened a courtmartial once and there was a tie or something amid the judge advocates (isn't that what they call them in the military?)? Isn't that the only way you can have anything close to a hung jury?
