1. Congratulations!!

Now he can buy his own cigarettes, and not keep stealing them out of your purse.

Now, only three more months of having a houseguest you don't want living in your house and getting drunk with your husband.

What's gonna happen after he moves out? Hubby's gonna miss his drinking buddy, I bet.

But, I'm sure everyone will adjust. It'll be like a brand new marriage, a couple of honeymooners starting out together, just the two of you.

That's wonderful. Can be very romantic. Imagine the possibilities. Oh, what fun!

Will your daughter move back in, or will she stay with her grandmother? I seem to recall that's where she moved.

Will he be paying any room and/or board now that he's got income?

At least he can buy his own cigarettes, no small expense these days.................................

New thread but I suspect it's a cat fight in the making.

I will give TLB this much...she is crafty even though still a DUmmy.

She is baiting her with her old claims to eventually trip her up again.

This should be fun. :hyper:

I put the job over/under at a week.  Cuts into drinking time too much.  That and he'd have to move out and pay his own rent, also cutting into drinking.

Bottom line, greenbriar is an enabler and every day she doesn't shove his shit out the door is one more she loses respect in the eyes of the DUmmies, which wasn't much to start.

Nah. The guy doesn't exist. His job will last as long as it takes DUmmy greenbriar to construct the
next chapter of whatever story line she has in her shrivelled brain.

DUmmy TLB knows that. She could turn it into a lovely brawl, but DUmmy greenbriar is a coward
who will run and hide.

She ducks every time her plagiarism disgrace comes up. Can you imagine plagiarizing another DUmmy?

I posted an honest discussion we had in class the other day a comment that one of my students made that really made me stop and think

and this person has called me a liar, accused me of "lifting" it from god knows where

and all kinds of other things

said poster has appeared regularly in many of my threads to neg comment and also points out any grammar issues too

The last thing Greenbriar said to TLB was that she was putting her on ignore. She may have actually done that.

But what is this "out by January" crap? Throw the bum out, you spineless DUmbass! Do you really think he will still have this job by January?

Those cats up there look exactly like two of my cats, a mother/son combo.  They kick the shit out of each other now and then, too.

If I were Greenbriar, I would start to get paranoid about my writing style, and proofread before hitting post.  And I really didn't need Gloria Swanson's allusions to a "new honeymoon."  Date night was bad enough.

13. Probably something fabulous -

Teaching English as a Second Language. Or maybe teaching fifth grade.

Or brain surgeon?

Something along those lines.

Wonder how long this "job" will last.

Without the roomie, what will life be like? I worry for those cute, crazy kids..........................................

"Ignore" you supposedly put me on.

You're not very good with telling the truth, are you?

Meds?

That's hardly original. Since it's such a common (and feeble) retort, you didn't have to steal it and claim you made it up, so that's a step in the right direction...................................

I sense intervention by Der Skimmer in the near future.

7. Let's hope he doesn't get fired.

Or thinks the job is not up to his standards.

Or thinks everyone he works with is stupid.

Or everyone he works with thinks he's stupid.

Or he hates them all.

Or they won't let him be in charge.

Or suddenly he needs to buy a new sound system and blow off having money for a rent deposit.

I speak from experience.

Oh my.

9. HE is a meat cutter for a store in a major chain

He is excited and proud. HE couldn't wait for us to get home to tell us about it.

The reason we are giving him the Jan deadline is so he can save for deposits ect...

HE has a couple of fines to pay off as well

I feel that this is a turn for the better

When we let him stay here (for what was supposed to be 3 months) he was a corrections officer for a major prison. He had lost his girl and his mom and sister and was pretty messed up.

This job has let him go back to what he really likes...he used to be manager of the meat department for a little grocery store in our home town. He left that job when his girl got really sick and the prison gave him much better benefits.

This is what he likes to do and takes pride in his work.

This new job is like a new lease on his life!

Meatcutting is great work. I bet he'll be bringing home some great steaks for his host and hostess. It would be the least he could do.

Get him out of your house before he injures himself and loses his job.

Also, I wouldn't put it past him to injure himself in order to get disability benefits. Then you'll have him around, waiting for those bennies to kick in.....

Have you actually told him that he needs to be out by January? Has he agreed to that?

18. he was a great meat cutter back in the day and he hasn't been drinking since we told him he was out in Jan with or without a job

I think that was the kick in the ass he needed

he has been walking to all the stores he could walk to and putting in a lot of apps

he was really excited with this call for interview and when he got the job, he was pacing at the door to tell us as soon as we walked in the door.

I really think this is going to work out for the best.

He knows he MUST be out by Jan and is actually planning for it and being responsible...like the "old friend" we knew before all this mess happened

22. no let me SET you straight. I did NOT throw my daughter out

she wanted her independence as she graduated from HS but knew that we would not be happy with her living on her own or with a room mate so she moved in with her grandmother whom she loves dearly as do I.

After I realized it was not personal and reflected that I pretty much did the same thing when I was her age, I realized it wasn't as bad as I had made it out to be

She is now taking 18 hours as a college freshman and working 20 hours on campus as a tech-e and maintaining all A's. We actually went last night to her campus and she gave us an indepth tour and we had dinner. A really nice evening

38. No one's saying anyone sucks - there is a matter of truthiness, to quote Mr. Colbert.

So many stories, so little truth.

This has been a constant, but it's wildly entertaining, the facts change as they need to be fashioned into a new version of reality, and we all end up having a jolly old time.

DU, where we're all buds.

61. No, the salient OPs are safe and archived -

they're right here, safe with me, should anyone want to see them.

Knowledge, I have heard it said, is power. My experience is that it's always best to get the knowledge yourself, preferably on your own, although it's quite wonderful when good people care enough to lend you a hand.

But stealing someone else's work, the knowledge they worked on, acquired, refined, wrote up - well, what do you call it when you take something that's not yours and make like it's all yours, down to the point of ever-so-graciously encouraging people to "use it as they wish"?

There's a name for that, and it's not a pretty one. Funny how the angry namecallers are always the ones with the most to hide.

And there is even more!

But, be prepared for 'deleted sub-thread' followed by "This thread is being locked at the request of the OP."

It's been done.

It changes nothing............................................

65. There you ARE!!!!

You must be reading EVERYTHING I post. That's adorable. Your fixation and obsession are guiding you. You can't help yourself, can you?

I suspect that "story" to which you referred - whatever it is - must be gnawing at you. How else to explain your agitation?

Will you ask for this one to be locked, too?

Now, about that "story" - is it time for purging, the kind that will make you feel better?

I'm here to help you.

It's all up to you. After all, this is your creation.

Or was that the basic problem?

Oh, that's funny!

Anyway, I am here for you.

So are the angels even though you forgot to call me a dirty name in this post..................

54. What story?

I don't recall claiming any "story"?

Is there something you're wanting to confess to? Something shameful you did, and now you're trying to say it was a "mistake"?

Did you do something bad?

Really?

Why would you bring up a "story" when no "story" was mentioned?

Interesting.

And when you call me names, did you know that another angel gets its wings?

It's true.

But, "true" is something with which you have trouble, so you probably won't believe it.............................

You really need to read the exchange. TLB has some nice visuals in her postings.

58. Who doesn't love meat?

I mean, WHO DOESN'T LOVE MEAT?

Meat makes great bait, right?

And the idea that a drunken meatcutter with obvious issues - all those run-ins with the law - might, one day, take things a little too far and ply his craft at the house never entered my mind.

It might have been a bad movie I saw back in the fifties, but the rest of it, naw. Not at all. I think all drunks should have access to sharp knives and a legitimate excuse for being covered in blood, don't you?

Did somebody get tombstoned for plaguerizing a journal?   Updated at 12:40 AM

Did I spell that right? Anyways, how can people think they are going to get away with it when almost everybody on the Internet knows how to use Google?

Tangerine LaBamba, please come over so we can all praise you for a spell.    Political differences aside - when props are due, then props are due.
